About partridge shooting in west midlands

Driven partridge shooting over stubble fields in September offers some of the most fantastic sport available. Although you'll rarely find days of English partridge shooting, the french partridge has provided a very reliable alternative. They estate cover some 2,000 acres west of Minsterley and the opposite side of the valley from Long mountain. Until 2002 this was a private shoot reserved for a privileged few. New management has seen the introduction of gamecovers taking advantage of steep slopes and valleys provided by the exciting terrain. More recently partridge have been released on the Whitsburn valley creating the draw dropping drive Luckley Point where varying targets cross the valley from every angle. Other classic high pheasant drives include High Coppice, The Manor, Lordstone Wood, Hope Hall, Crabtree Gamecover, Upper Luckley, The Roman Fort and Pennies from Heaven. If assistance is required for you to get to your peg there is an All Terrain Vehicle available.
