Frequently Asked Questions
Does GunsOnPegs charge commission?
No. Unlike traditional shooting agents, GunsOnPegs charges no commission to shoots or guns. This means you can be sure you're getting the best price possible.
How does GunsOnPegs work?
Using GunsOnPegs is very straightforward. Simply use the 'Find shooting' page to search for the kind of shooting that you're looking for - you can filter by species, number of birds, date and location. When you have found a shoot or shoot date that takes your fancy, simply use the 'Contact shoot' button to get in touch directly with the owner or manager.
I can't find the shooting I want, how can you help me?
Yes. GunsOnPegs Premium, our enhanced membership level, includes our PegMatch feature. This allows you to send thousands of shoots a detailed description of what you are looking for. Shoots that can provide what you are after can then reply to your enquiry.
How does GunsOnPegs make money?
Our business model is based largely on advertising, mostly from brands interested in reaching the shooting community. Some shoots also pay for enhanced listings on the site.
Can I get a shoot's telephone number?
Yes - To contact a shoot by telephone you will need to join GunsOnPegs Premium, our enhanced membership level. Basic members can contact shoots via the form on the website.
I've found a day that I'm interested in, what now?
Simply use the 'Contact shoot' button to send the shoot owner or manager a message expressing your interest. They will then get in touch with you (usually within 48 hours) to discuss your needs and hopefully get you booked in.
Does GunsOnPegs sell shooting?
No. GunsOnPegs is not an agent, and does not own any shooting rights or manage shoots. GunsOnPegs is a platform that provides a service that connects guns with shoots directly - we do not act as a middle-man or sell shooting on behalf of shoots and estates.
