Goodrich Shoot surrounds the ruins of the iconic Goodrich Castle and is as scenic a picturesque as a visiting gun should wish to experience.
We are able to produce sport to challenge any ability of gun, with stunning pheasant drives such as the Village meadow and The Cableway and a fabulous partridge beat with drives such as the jackets and squirrells sure to lift your excitement levels. We are able to offer driven days from 200 - 400 birds.
Hospitality
Bacon rolls and coffee on arrival Elevenses consisting of home cooked favourites such as sausage rolls, honey mustard sausages, Game terrine and steaming cups of freshly made soup or consommé.
Days conclude with a two course meal taken back in the gun room on completion of the day.
Topography
Situated on the banks of the river wye between Monmouth and ross on wye and only a stones throw from symonds yat. The shoot covers 1500 acres of beautiful rolling Herefordshire countryside on the edge of the Forest of Dean. The dramatic topography of the shoot is ideal for showing high challenging pheasant and partridges. With the woodlands clearly being planted with shooting in mind.
About the hosts
Goodrich is managed by Hadley Sporting and you will be accompanied by Adam, Adam has been hosting game days for over 10 years and is well versed in making sure your day goes smoothly and to plan.

We had wonderful day at Goodrich in great conditions, the wind a bit too strong for one drive but we ended up shooting five on the day. Their two new drives were fantastic; challenging, fit birds spread accross the line offering some brilliant shooting. Well looked after with good hospitality on a very relaxed day. Shot there last year and it was good but now it has moved up a couple of levels.

A cracking day put on by Stewart and his great young team! End of January so birds were wiley in getting out the sides but some tremendous sport shown. Hospitality, especially 11s was fantastic. Despite an incredibly still and bright day, Stewart and his team showed us an excellent volume of birds with ample qulaity birds to easily fulfill the day. Stewart was an excellent host and the team working with him were great. It really felt that Stewart’s number one priority was to make sure the whole team had a great day. This was made tricky by a number of guns on the days shooting far too many average birds on the first drive and Stewart having to engage diplomatic efforts to ‘encourage’ those guns to be more selective in drives two to five. A task he accomplished well :-) Despite the conditions fighting against the team there were ample quality birds shown with some particularly good partridge amongst them. I would love to shoot Haie again with some cloud cover and a decent wind. Dinner was a relaxed affair with an excellent main course, pudding and cheese board accompanied with more than enough very drinkable wine. I will definitely return.
