Set in pretty countryside offering perfect terrain for quality pheasant and partridge shooting. Sodington Hall and Winwoods Shooting Estates are situated on the border of Worcestershire and Shropshire, less than one hour West of Birmingham and half an hour from the M5. Being within a few minutes drive of each other, these estates are often shot together.
With a dedicated team led by Oliver Davies, we provide 150 to 400 bird days available from Mondays through to Saturdays, as well as multi-day shoot programmes, enabling guns to enjoy our other estates.
A shoot bus is available for full teams by prior arrangement.
Our emphasis is on providing quality throughout, from terrain, our range of drives and bird presentation, to food, drink, and accommodation. We are passionate about creating a memorable experience for our guests.
Hospitality
Full English Breakfast is provided and breaks in the field are accompanied by traditional "Gin and Fizz" as well as hot and cold refreshment and elevenses featuring local produce and often game dishes cooked freshly in the field by our friendly host staff. Shelter is provided in the field, enabling us to stay out in wet weather.
At the end of the day, we return to our hospitality venue for a shoot meal.

Topography
The shoot estate surrounding Sodington Hall incorporates established woodlands, banks, and open rolling fields. This pretty countryside offers the perfect terrain for top quality pheasant and partridge shooting.
Winwoods Shoot is situated on the edge of the ancient and magnificent Wyre Forest, the largest woodland National Nature Reserve in the country, and pheasants are driven over deep wooded valleys where the established drives provide challenging high birds.
About the hosts
Your team is headed by Oliver Davies. Over the past 25 years Oliver has established a reputation for delivering quality driven game on his shooting estates in Shropshire and Worcestershire. Birds are reared throughout the Summer by our team of experienced gamekeepers to ensure that we deliver consistent sporting days throughout the season. We adopt the highest welfare standards in our game rearing facilities, constantly improving our husbandry and game production methodology to ensure that we produce strong and healthy birds.
You are assured the warmest of welcomes, great shooting and fabulous service at all levels.

Great day out. Oliver Davies knows his buisness, how to control the bird and manage a good well balanced shoot. Sally - the food and drink angel, ensured that we had everything on hand from the start to the finish of the day and could not have done more to make us welcome. Great team and venue.

Arranged with the help of David Beardsmore we started at Winward Shoot and moved to Sodington later in day. Went well with good birds presented. Supplied our own elevenses with cocktails from a series 3.

A friend and I booked a couple of last minute pegs at Sodington last week. It was a fantastic day. The guns shared some great banter and Oliver was a superb host. We were treated to some very high and challenging duck throughout the day. The presentation of the birds is really well varied with Oliver managing the whole operation with real precision, whilst maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. We are now looking to return with our roving syndicate team next year. Thanks Oliver!

Having had the pleasure of meeting David Beardsmore regarding gun fit on a previous occasion and along with recommendations of what head keeper Oliver Davies and Soddington Hall had to offer, I felt assured that the day would be an enjoyable occasion and I was certainly not disappointed. The hospitality upon arrival which continued throughout the day could not be faulted and the quantity and quality of the birds was excellent. I traveled up from South Wales on the morning, although you can stay at the pub you meet at for breakfast, so ideal for those travelling from further a field. If you're tempted, rest assured you will not be disappointed.
