Pheasant

Stokesay shoot, set in the Ludlow Valley in south Shropshire is a long established shoot offering excellent days sport.

The estate is approximately 2 miles from Ludlow, which is a town renowned for its historic market and excellent restaurants, and 28 miles from Shrewsbury. Guest can arrive by helicopter which can be landed on the estate at our custom built helipad and accommodation can be arranged.

The day consists of two drives followed by a short field break where champagne and refreshments are served. This is then followed by another two or three drives until the expect bag is reached, the day is then finished with a late lunch served in our shoot room by the open log fire.

If assistance is required for you to get to your peg there is an All Terrain Vehicle available.

Topography

The shoot offers 7,000 acres incorporating fantastic woodlands, steep banks and valleys, the perfect terrain for top quality pheasant and partridge. The shoot combines 4 main valleys with large established woods on their sides and game cover above, the 35 drives that can be found here offer something for everyone.

Some very challenging birds on all drives but there was also something for everyone. James was a brilliant host and made sure we had a great day providing food and drink after a couple of the drives. Will be retuning next season without a doubt.
