Privacy Policy

We ask you to complete a profile in order that you can demonstrate that you are a genuine Shooting person. This includes your address, email address and phone number so that we can contact you for further checks to being part of our community, at our discretion. By joining GunsOnPegs, this allows access to unique parts of the website. “My Profile” is automatically sent to shoots when you make an enquiry through GunsOnPegs. This helps the Shoot Owner in their discussions with the Member Gun.

We keep a secure database of all of our Member Gun’s and Shoot Owner’s information. Your contact information is used to send emails to you, if you have opted in, and other information is used for GunsOnPegs to contact our members by, or shoots to contact you by, if enquiring to them.

The only time we would ever use your personal information for any other reason is to aid the proper authorities in finding anything fraudulent or illegal. Your information is stored in our database and is not shared with any third parties. We will not use the information to make any automated decisions that might affect you.

Your information is kept for as long as you continue to consent.

Our website uses cookies to provide you with the best experience while using our site and to help keep our site free to members. Our use of cookies includes: keeping you logged in when browsing, identifying new or returning visitors, keeping track of preferences when searching for events and venues, keeping us informed about the most popular pages on our site and displaying relevant advertising offers and promotions. GunsOnPegs also uses multi-site advertising and may also use cookies to provide a more targeted advertising experience both on and off our website. We must stress that any of this information gathered is non-personally identifiable information. The information gathered, based on your browsing, allows GunsOnPegs to earn revenue from our free to use service in the form of advertising. We sometimes use a third-party service to carry out this advertising but again, no personally identifiable information is used in this practice. If you do not wish to benefit from this targeted advertising programme, you have the ability to opt-out of interest-based advertising via the European Digital Advertising Alliance’s (EDAA’s) opt-out pages (http://www.youronlinechoices.eu).

Members who have opted in to receive emails from GunsOnPegs will receive our weekly Game Card as well as anything else we feel exciting enough to send you, including offers from shoots and partners. We usually send one message each week. If you wish not to receive these messages, you can remove your email address from our list at any time via the My Profile page.
