Here at Cambrian Birds our depth of knowledge and experience forged over many years in the game rearing and shooting industry leaves us well placed to help with your needs. Running seven first class shoots in the Welsh / English border region we have opportunities to suit a range of teams and guns seeking a challenge.
Dyfi Falls is based near the town of Machynlleth, Wales, this is a true gem of a shoot. With a stunning waterfall at the head of one of the valleys it truly is a stunning place to shoot. The birds here are extreme and exceptionally challenging. They are definitely for those who are looking for high bird shooting and something very special. Coupled with outstanding hospitality this is a shoot that should be on every game shots "bucket list".
The Ridgeway is a gem of a shoot showing birds from steep sided bracken banks and over wide sweeping valleys. Birds here really test your technique. Located right on the border of England and Wales, a stone’s throw from Bishops Castle, it is a must for any game shooter.
Old Long Mountain is a well-kept secret. With only a handful of let days each season, the opportunity to shoot there is something to be savored. Based on the edge of Welshpool it is a beautiful shoot showing birds from steep woods and gamecovers over classic pheasant shooting terrain.
Pennal has fast become a “must visit” shoot for guns seeking the thrill of high bird shooting. With probably one of the highest Pheasant drives in the country at its disposal, coupled with incredible scenery and a plethora of stunning drives, the Pennal shoot is in a class of its own.
Llechweddygarth is arguably one of the most famous shoots in the UK. It is a great privilege to run this incredible shoot. World class hospitality, brilliant onsite accommodation and not to mention unbelievable birds - LLechweddygarth really does have it all.
Three Valleys was added to our portfolio in 2025. This shoot has a long standing reputation for producing high bird shooting to test the best guns. It is a real bucket list shoot that should be on every guns to do list. Based in Wales the shoot benefits from incredible topography allowing us to show birds from high to extreme heights.
Stoke Edith a gem of a shoot in rural Herefordshire. The shoot offers a bird for everyone and suits those looking for a lovely day out in the Herefordshire countryside with some lovely driven birds.
Hospitality
All of our shoot days are accompanied by first class hospitality. With the option of finishing your days with us with either a full sit down meal or a high tea if you have a long drive. Our team are ready to cater the day to suit your requirements. We won’t let you go hungry!
Birds
Each of our 7 Estates has something different to offer our guests. With everything from the most stratospheric birds you could wish to imagine (have to be seen to be believed) to beautiful quintessential pheasant drives. We like to think our portfolio has something for everyone.
Topography
From steep sided valleys and narrow wooded gulleys to deep valleys and mountainous terrain, Cambrian Birds have it all when it comes to the ability to present testing birds over teams of guns. See each profile for more details.
Conservation Efforts
We grow a range of conservation and stewardship compliant cover crops across our shoots which hugely benefit nature.
Our dedicated keepering team also undertake hundreds of hours of woodland and ride management all of which benefit a plethora of different flora and fauna.

What an absolutely cracking shoot! I cannot recommend Old Long Mountain highly enough, everything including the staff, food, quality of birds and last but certainly not least shoot manager Will Horner made this a special day that I will remember forever. It certainly features as one of my favourite days pheasant shooting I have been on.
