Voted West Midlands Best Shoot in 2021 by Guns on Pegs members, Davenport House Shoot is situated just outside Bridgnorth under an hour West of Birmingham and 20 minutes from the M54, set in the beautiful Shropshire countryside around the majestic Davenport House.
Covering some 3,000 acres, this picturesque and historic estate has delivered the finest shooting for many decades. Characteristic of this part of Shropshire, Davenport House Shoot covers open parkland, wooded hillsides, and deep rolling valleys. The natural topography is ideal for shooting pheasant & partridge which are driven over deep valleys, producing exciting challenging birds.
With a dedicated team led by Oliver Davies, we provide 200 to 500 bird days on Davenport House Shoot, with days available from Mondays through to Saturdays, as well as multi-day shoot programmes, enabling guns to enjoy our other estates.
A shoot bus is available for full teams by prior arrangement.
Our emphasis is on providing quality throughout, from terrain, our range of drives and bird presentation, to food, drink, and accommodation. We are passionate about creating a memorable experience for our guests.
Hospitality
Full English Breakfast is provided and breaks in the field are accompanied by traditional "Gin and Fizz" as well as hot and cold refreshment and elevenses featuring local produce and often game dishes cooked freshly in the field by our friendly host staff. A heated cabin is provided in the field, enabling us to stay warm and dry during breaks in wet weather.
At the end of the day, we return to our hospitality venue for a shoot meal.

Topography
The 3,000 acre shoot estate around Davenport House is a mixture of open parkland, wooded hillsides, and deep rolling valleys. The natural topography is ideal for pheasant and partridge shooting with birds driven out of natural woodland and over deep grass valleys, producing exciting challenging birds.
About the hosts
Your team is headed by Oliver Davies. Over the past 25 years Oliver has established a reputation for delivering quality driven game on his shooting estates in Shropshire and Worcestershire. Birds are reared throughout the Summer by our team of experienced gamekeepers to ensure that we deliver consistent sporting days throughout the season. We adopt the highest welfare standards in our game rearing facilities, constantly improving our husbandry and game production methodology to ensure that we produce strong and healthy birds.
You are assured the warmest of welcomes, great shooting and fabulous service at all levels.

This was day one of two back to back days across Davenport and Arley. Oliver and his team were very welcoming and certainly know how to put on a full day. Our team prefers not stopping for lunch and were pleased to see a constant supply of drinks and snacks between the drives, all served from his new "elevenses truck"... We managed to shoot the bag, which was presented a varying heights, which would suit a mixed ability line and gave everyone the chance to shoot whatever made them happy! Discussions re a return visit in 2022 have commenced; the only question being "which of Oliver's five shoots do we shoot?"

Speechless, simply speechless. I’ve shot and beat all over the UK for 30 years. I’d been told Davenport House Estate et al produces’ good quality birds. In fact, today they produced fantastic birds, from this seasons and last. I part run 2 syndicate shoots so I fully understand what is required to achieve good results. I also enjoyed seeing the beating-line and picker uppers work in an organised, well communicated and professional manner. Outstanding day!!!
