Boughton, one of Northamptonshire's premier Sporting Estates, has a history of delivering quality sport whilst maintaining high standards of conservation. The tradition of partridge shooting shows extremely exciting birds over the tall hedgerows. Couple that with the vast network of game and conservation crops and you have some great drives for both pheasant and partridge shooting. The traditional woodland drives are spectacular, in particular, Boughton Wood. A variety of packages can be tailored to suit your individual needs which include exciting birds and good camaraderie as standard. We are a small friendly group, hosting guest guns to fill spaces on rare occasions we don't fill the day. Our club takes on small days of 100 birds, driven with a sit down meal etc. All the refinement of a large day but with selective shooting. We have one 100 bird driven partridge day available, looking for one, or possibly two guns. We intend there to be 8 guns and are seeking to fill one peg, however should 2 pegs be required the bag will be increased to accommodate.

Cranford Estate, a 1,000-acre Northamptonshire estate, is easily accessible from London (90 minute drive) and located between Oundle and Kettering. The estate consists mainly of arable farmland but with numerous woods and also rewilded ironstone quarry. Cranford Hall itself is the seat of the Robinson family and has been in the family ownership since its construction in the 18th century. The shoot is not a "commercial" shoot with the focus purely on large scale game rearing and excessively high bag numbers. We pride ourselves on managing the Estate sympathetically for game but also encouraging biodiversity over peripheral farm habitats. More information on the Estate can be found on our website.

We are a relaxed, friendly and traditional shoot offering a really attractive series of woodland drives in beautiful rural Northamptonshire.   We shoot mostly pheasants, with a few partridges, and have a simply brilliant duck drive (no one enjoys just shooting ducks off a farm pond!). We present really good quality birds and there are plenty of them. We stand 9 guns and bags vary between 150-200; if there are more birds we shoot them. In December, we see a really good number of woodcock and have some fantastic snap shooting in lovely mature woodland. A great seasonal shoot. Good hospitality is a really important part of the day for us, and we all travel around in a comfortable gun bus towed by a tractor. There is plenty of laughter and everyone is made to feel very welcome. Great quality food and drink are provided, including tea and coffee, bacon rolls in the morning, and a lovely hearty lunch, which is prepared back at the yard by the gamekeeper’s wife. The core syndicate shoot on most days, which is supplemented by a few regular guns who take 2-3 days. We are also looking for a couple of new syndicate members as we expand the number of days we shoot in the coming years. We have recently launched a Facebook page, Denton Wood Shoot, which will show photos and a bit of the banter plus our shoot dates.
