Carswell is a 1100 acre Estate consisting of four farms running along 2 miles of the South Devon Coast. The shoot is run as a sporting club, with most members returning every year at least once with a team of their friends to shoot at Carswell. Bag sizes range from 150 in October/November down to 100 by Christmas. Occasionally 50 bird mini driven days at the end of the season if bird numbers allow! The interaction between shooting and conservation is something we believe strongly in, and that measures of success in the future will not just be about birds shot, but also improvements in net biodiversity, species numbers and density of population across the board.

He has just published the River Cottage handbook on Game preparation and cookery, is a regular supporter of Taste of Game and spends his time working as a private chef, cookery teacher and writer.  The aim of the demo session is to provide a few fresh ideas on what can be done to best make use of the glut of game birds and breath fresh air into your game cookery with a few crafty tips and a new view point. **Walk up Feast Days** Also available with Tim are 40 bird walk up days throughout the season, where Tim will provide a feast for you throughout the course of the day of delicious cooking in the field whilst you enjoy an array of challenging game shooting.  These unique days are priced at only £200 per gun. **Shooting at Aishe Barton goes from strength to strength** _**Driven days starting from only £18 per bird**_ Our exceptional driven days start from 50-200 bird days at £32 per bird including all the hospitality, no overheads or VAT. We specialise in tailored walk up - mini driven days. For example: Meet at the Shoot for morning tea, coffee and bacon rolls. 'All aboard' the Gun's bus to start your day on pheasants, English and Red Leg partridges, ducks, teal and woodcock from crops, reeds, marshes and mini drives from copses and woods. Elevenses consisting of snacks and drinks. Back out for more enjoyable shooting, then back to the Lodge for a light lunch, cakes and refreshments. Ending the day on a mini driven drive. Back for tea and coffee. Our small days 40-50 birds comes in @ £1120\. That's only £28 per bird. We can offer the above based on a 100 bird day which will also include an exceptional driven duck drive @ £2800. These days are filling quickly so mid week days are now only available. Set within 3500 acres of outstanding shooting ground with a mixture of mature woodlands and cover crops, we are situated in the most picturesque corner of Devon, amongst some of the highest valleys and geography.  Some of our Drives are set 200 metres above sea level that produces outstanding pheasants/partridges.  Our aim is to give you a day to remember with great hospitality, good shooting, with a fun enjoyable atmosphere with good company amongst the keepers, beaters and picker uppers.
