Cheviot Sporting is located in the heart of Northumberland. We offer simulated game days throughout the year. We offer Simulated Game Shooting for parties of 12 to 16 guns. We aim to provide a simulated day that is as close to a “Driven Game” day as possible, with a relaxed atmosphere, challenging clay targets and hospitality throughout the day.

Newcastle simulated game is based at Belsay Barns, Capheaton in the heart of the Northumberland countryside but only a 15 minute drive from Newcastle airport. We are a family run business who offer Simulated Game days, one to one shooting lessons, group shooting and can cater for stag and hen parties. Food and refreshments are available on request. Drives included in simulated game are pigeon roost shooting, crow decoying, snipe shooting, pheasant, grouse, duck and partridge and are set out by our son who is the estate gamekeeper with 10 Years experience.  We also hold simulated game competitions every other Sunday and clay club every Thursday afternoon. Prices:  One to one shooting lessons: £40 per hour includes clays and cartridges.  Simulated game days: £35 per person based on 4 man teams shooting 400 Clays.  Group shooting practice: £6 per 25 clays.  Stag and hen parties: £40 per person includes clays, cartridges and gun hire. Newcastle simulated game shoot is a 15 minute drive from Newcastle airport. The shoot is at a 450 acre farm situated around a beautiful old quarry at Belsay. All drives are in walking distance and you don't have to walk far for a change of scenery or shooting. The drives are arranged by people who strive for perfection. We aim to challenge, our idea of a simulated game shooting is to actually simulate it. To us that means fast shooting, quick reloading and plenty of targets to point at. Not forgetting a large variation of game on the day. We have several drives around the quarry to simulate Pheasants, Partridge, Ducks, Snipe and Grouse. Our structure; The day starts from the farm with a cup of coffee or tea. Settling Ducks over the flight pond. Crossing partridge left to right Crossing partrige right to left. Bacon sandwiches and drinks. Driven Grouse, low and very fast! High driven pheasant (40yards) to finish. All our drives are created by the computer controlled Hunstman XL simulated game trap made by Promatic. This trap truly gives you random flurries so you are forever reloading and guessing which direction the next target is coming from. So your day will truly be simulated. Most 1000+ clay days take up to 3 hours to complete. Bag are optional from 100 - 5000 clays 1000 clays are £400\. Set price for any sized group, so 10 guns, only £40 a head.  Food can be provided at an extra cost. Cartridges are available on the day if you do not have your own fibre wad cartridges. We strongly recommend 21grms for 12 gauge shooters.  Dates available all year to suit your group. Based from our local pub offering a full English breakfast, 11’s in the field and an evening meal back at the pub. We start the day easy with some moderate birds and progress to our high pheasant drives with a few drinks and laughs as the day progresses.
