The Firle Shoot is a renowned and well established mixed game shoot entering it’s 20th season this year. Situated only 60 miles from London (Gatwick Airport 40mins) and based around the village at Firle, near Lewes, East Sussex, the shoot occupies the lovely rolling hills and valleys of the South Downs (the hill). The shooting lands extend to 2,750 acres. The shoot provides Partridge and Pheasant shooting of very high quality. Bags are for 200 or 250 birds with some flexibility if required. Dogs and non shooting guests are welcome. September and early October days concentrate on partridges on the hill but early released pheasants may also be shot from the beginning of October. The combination provides testing sport on these early days. The partridge in late September fly really well in what are usually good sea breezes. All this is in the wonderful surroundings of the South Downs which are beautifully illustrated in the attached picture of The Bostal Drive painted by Richard Robjent. Our mission is to provide a well organised but relaxed day with a syndicate day feel. The shoot is run as a Sporting Club. Participants will become members of The Firle Sporting Club Ltd

This wonderfully picturesque South Downs shoot offers a vast range of shooting, catering for all guns. From driven partridge days in September and October, becoming mixed pheasant and partridge days from November The shoot can stand between 8 and 10 guns. The bag size can range anywhere from 250 bird days upwards and including double gun, at your request. Loaders, transport around the shoot, and accommodation in the local area can be arranged as required.

The Stonehouse Estate shoot is set in the beautiful East Sussex countryside in an estate of approx 2,500 acres. A typical shoot day will consist of traditional Pheasant drives (with an occasional partridge or two) and Duck drives upon request. The estate has over 30 drives of varying difficulty to chose from, cover crops, broad leaf woodland glades, conifer forest with valleys and ponds. Providing a real mix of terrain for the showing of birds.

Hastingford Shoot. Hastingford Shoot is a small friendly shoot in East Sussex and is open to all from beginners through to experienced guns.  We hold many driven shooting days throughout the season with mixed bags of Duck, Pheasant and the occasional Woodcock. Our shoot days are held over two sides of the rolling valley with a small car drive between venues. We aim to shoot  60 to 80 birds per day. We start with a hot bacon/sausage bap served with a choice of hot drinks. We then have a quick safety briefing before drawing pegs and set off about 9 / 9.30 for the first drive.....  After the second drive we offer refreshments of Tea/coffee. We then commence our third drive. After which we head back for lunch (a tasty home cooked meal) all served in our comfortable gun lodge overlooking the main lake. After lunch we head out for another drive or 2 ( depending on the bag ). At the end of the day , guns are invited back to the the lodge for tea/coffee and a slice of cake to have a chat and reflect upon the day. Upon leaving guns will be presented with a brace of birds and a detailed card of the days bag .   Total cost for a days shooting per gun is £300.00.  In addition a keepers tip is also appreciated .      Please contact direct for information on corporate days. High house farm shoot is set in 400 acres of Stunning Sussex country side with the river Ouse running through half the shoot . We offer a mixture of challenging yet exiting pheasant shooting that will test the most experienced of guns .
