The Stonehouse Estate shoot is set in the beautiful East Sussex countryside in an estate of approx 2,500 acres. A typical shoot day will consist of traditional Pheasant drives (with an occasional partridge or two) and Duck drives upon request.
The estate has over 30 drives of varying difficulty to chose from, cover crops, broad leaf woodland glades, conifer forest with valleys and ponds. Providing a real mix of terrain for the showing of birds.
Hospitality
The Stonehouse Estate shoot prides itself in that the Hospitality is a very important part of our day and we now pleased to have the return of Stonehouse Offering excellent choices of locally produced fare in the setting of the beautiful Stonehouse Estate House
Starting with hot bacon rolls with tea and coffee upon arrival at the meet.
Elevenses in the field including champagne.
A hot 2 course lunch ( inclusive of house wine or beers.)
We are very happy to tailor a day to your needs, and groups wishing to shoot through can be accommodated with prior notice.
Topography
The shoot is set in a mix of managed ancient woodland and conifer forest with small valleys and strategically placed cover crops providing a real mix of terrain for the showing of the birds and the catering for all ability levels.
About the hosts
The shoot is now run and exclusively managed by the Ansell family. Buster Ansell who also successfully manages 2 other premier shoots in the south East. Titsey Estate Shoot and the Hoddern Estate Shoot

I had a very enjoyable day at the Stonehouse Estate Shoot in October. Despite conditions being very challenging with bright sunshine and temperatures pushing 20 degrees, Buster and the team put on a great day with plenty of sporting birds to choose from. The day was brilliantly run, with nothing left un-thought of, and a very relaxed atmosphere. Being half-term there were children beating and flagging which added to the family feel of the day and it was particularly nice to enjoy a drink with the beating and picking-up team at elevenses!
