Days can be booked ranging in bag size from 350 (an experienced team of guns) down to smaller days of 100. A Polaris can be used to transport guns from their vehicles to their pegs. Matt Smith is the Head Keeper. Guns travel around in their own 4x4’s or in the hosts 4x4. Bretby Park has a strong shooting tradition on the estate as it was the principle home of the Earl of Chesterfield and passed by marriage to the Earl of Carnavon where he considered it to be his partridge shoot whilst Highclere was his pheasant shoot. The estate has been in the same family since the 1900's when it was bought by Sir Herbert Wragg and by descent to Richard Perkins and now his daughter Charlotte Macdonald of Sleat who runs, hosts and acts as Shoot Captain.
