Partridge shooting in Kent

Partridge shooting in Kent

The partridge shooting season runs from 1st September to 1st February. The partridges most commonly shot across Europe are red-legged partridges, otherwise known as french partridges.

About partridge shooting in kent

Driven partridge shooting over stubble fields in September offers some of the most fantastic sport available. Although you'll rarely find days of English partridge shooting, the french partridge has provided a very reliable alternative. Many shoots across the UK will shoot partridge throughout the season and many bags after October will consist of both pheasant and partridge.

Bedgebury Park Shoot

Kent, United Kingdom

Bedgebury Park Shoot is set in the wooded valleys of the High Weald in Kent. Owned and run as a family shoot with a few let days, we typically shoot 150 - 250 birds across a large number of drives. The ground is some of the steepest in south east England, which combined with dense woodland makes ideal shooting country just 50 miles from London. We shoot a mixture of pheasant and partridges with wild duck also available. We usually shoot with 8 - 10 guns, with friends / girlfriends and wives also welcome (to a maximum of 18). The day includes all shooting, elevenses, lunch and tea but excludes tips for the keeper.

Wild Pursuits DrivenSPORTING AGENT

Multiple Locations

We pride ourselves on only working with the best shoots in the country, providing both an excellent and organised show of quality birds as well as the kind of hospitality you would expect from such days. The 2500 acre Montreal park in Kent is no exception and in all honesty probably exceeds even our own high expectations. Nestled in some surprisingly hilly terrain close to the charming and historic town of Sevenoaks and only a short thirty or forty minutes from central London. The shoot is also becoming the number one favourite for guns travelling from other countries due to it being only 20 minutes from Gatwick as well as close to other major airports. Being so well situated and providing such quality birds as well as some of the best hospitality in the business, it is surprising that Montreal park has remained such a well kept secret for this long, but this is definitely about to change. The shoot is run by head keeper and personal friend Lance Barton and his team, this team works tirelessly both pre, during and after shoot days to ensure that no rock has been left unturned in the pursuit of providing quality for their guests. Because of the pride that the team take in the preparation of the birds, woodland and general care of the shoot, coupled with the topography that they are naturally blessed with they can provide excellence time after time. With recently built hospitality facilities and a full time hospitality Co-ordinator it is hard to find another shoot that puts more time and effort into the tiniest details throughout each day, and extending into a locally sources supper. We warmly welcome both full teams of nine to ten guns or individual guns looking to join a team in a well thought out and organised day. If guns or teams are new to the game shooting world and would like to have a experienced member of our team join them as a mentor and host, then this is something that we are more than happy to organise.

Lees Court ShootBGA ASSURED

Kent, United Kingdom

Lees Court is renowned for its first class shoot, which takes place over much of the Estate with the highest birds being presented over the steep sided valley that runs north to south through the middle of the Estate.  The shoot has been listed in Alex Brant's book "The World's Best Shoots" published in September 2008. The first day of the season will take place in October, with 20 or more days through to January. A mix of pheasants and red-legged partridges are released on the Estate for the shooting season. The Countess Sondes, who runs the Lees Court Shoot, assumed the responsibility on the death of her husband, The Earl Sondes, in 1996. She is assisted by her gamekeeper Shayne Dean, and employs up to an additional 60 people on shoot days, including beaters, pickers up, loaders and catering staff. The Countess Sondes is a vociferous supporter of shooting. She thinks it is important that this historically significant way of life is maintained and believes the shoot improves biodiversity on the Estate, as well as generating local employment and supporting the rural economy. In 2013, the Estate won the Bronze Purdey Award for Game and Conservation. In continuing the excellent work in promoting shooting and conservation, it was a pleasure for our Keeper, Shayne Dean, to be presented with the NGO David Bellamy Award 2017. Lees Court is about an hour and a half drive from central London and approximately 20 minutes from Ashford International Railway Station.
