A traditional, run sporting Estate surrounding the local area of Burford and the Barringtons, known as ‘The Gateway’ to the Cotswolds. By utilising the natural landscape and extensive woodland, some of the Cotswolds highest, sporting pheasants and partridges are available for single and double gun days, across 27 drives. Bag size is typically 200 to 500. Novice and experienced guns, together with their dogs are welcome. We have days available for both full teams and individual pegs. Partridges are shown from well known drives including Bush field, Hollow Barn, Cuckoo Leys, Front Field, Snowfence, Belt and Market Wood. These drives succeed thanks to the tall trees, encouraging the birds to gain height and slide when in full flight over the valleys. Pheasant drives showing challenging birds from signatory drives including Katies, Boundary, Belt and Market Wood benefit from prevailing winds on a north facing bank over the river Windrush valley. We are excited to have some new ground this season 2023/24 to show Partridges, again over tall trees on top of some steep sided valleys, adjoining the main shooting ground, taking the shoot up to over 3000 acres. All Shot game is processed locally, with a complimentary brace supplied to the clients on the day, all other game is supplied to local retailers and wholesalers.

We Manage for our small venison cutting plant wild roe, fallow and muntjac over 10,000 acres of  privately owned Cotswold countryside with the aim to farm in the wild a sustainable deer population we offer accompanied stalking for Individuals & groups, experienced & novice shots all welcome. Female guide available for lady stalkers. As part of our Sustainable Wild management policy we will have a shoot-able surplus of roe, fallow and muntjac, this will include Does, Old going back Bucks and a percentage of young cull Bucks.

Mongewell Estate is a delightful Estate near to the popular town of Henley-on-Thames. The Estate is predominantly shot privately by the family throughout the season, although it does offer a small number of days each season to the let market, which we are delighted to have exclusive access to. This unique Estate consists of approximately 350 acres of mature woodland with surrounding arable ground that present a nice quality of Oxfordshire pheasant both over woodland rides and more open arable settings. With the Estate being managed by our sister company JM Osborne Rural & Sporting, we have an unrivalled control of each and every day, enabling us to tailor each shoot to the clients requirements. Days on the Estate range from 50-100 birds, with teams being encouraged to walk between each of the drives, which adds a unique feature to a modern-day shooting experience. The Shoot Lodge which plays host to the team throughout their day lies at the centre of the Estate and provides for the perfect hub for the shoot, with all drives within walking distance of the Lodge. Each team is treated to a delicious breakfast, elevenses and lunch at the shoot lodge, which are all prepared on site by the Estate’s chef. The Estate prides itself on returning shooting to its roots, with good sport and exceptional hospitality on offer in the most relaxed of environments.
