The stunning Estancias of Spain are certainly the most popular overseas shooting destination for the majority of UK guns, and for very good reason. While we are lucky enough to enjoy an exceptional variety of Redleg Partridge shooting in the UK, be they presented over hedgerows or more extreme birds driven over deep ravines, Spain occupies a prominent position on most bucket lists. The reason for this is simple, Spain offers teams exceptional shooting, incredible hospitality and their own most enchanting culture and history encapsulating the whole experience. Spanish partridge shooting was traditionally the preserve of the Spanish Royal Family and aristocracy with the sport widely considered to be the height of the Spanish shooting calendar. In recent years, as interest from the UK has increased, many shoots once solely private have opened their doors to welcome teams and show their individual charm. Being a long-established sporting agency, William Powell Sporting was one of the pioneer agencies assisting with pairing British teams with the most suitable shooting in Spain and as a result, we are fortunate to work closely with a number of these spectacular shoots in offering the finest driven partridge shooting. The variety of topography found on our partner Estates allows partridges to be presented in a variety of ways, from incredibly challenging high crossing birds to the more traditional fast and furious Spanish partridge drives; both of which provide very challenging and sporting shooting. In partnership with these estates, we therefore pride ourselves on being able to offer truly bespoke shooting and hunting packages to suit our client’s every need. The Spanish shooting season runs from mid-September to mid-March. As a result, shooting in Spain offers the ideal way of extending the traditional UK shooting season abroad, whilst enjoying the warmer climates that Spain has to offer. Due to the close proximity of our partner Estates to Madrid and other major cities, travel to and from the hunting grounds is incredibly convenient and day trips into town for non-shooting guests can easily be catered for.

The **BOGNIE** shoot is located at Forgue in rural Aberdeenshire, and is based on a private family estate, who can trace their links to the land back to the 12th century. The shoot covers approximately 13,000 acres, of rolling farmland and woods and provides a variety of excellent driven pheasant and partridge shooting along with some duck and walked up shooting. The shoot have over 45 acres of game crops and over 20 named drives. The drives are many and varied emanating from either cover crops or woodland. The addition of partridges to some of our signature drives has proved to be a huge success, with guns having to contend with rocketing pheasants and jinking partridge on the same drive. Driven days start with a warm welcome, coffee and bacon rolls and a briefing for the team. Refreshments and lunch are provided during the day. A typical day will normally consist of four or five drives with time between drives to chat to friends and relax. The shoot caters for corporate parties, private roving syndicates, small parties and individual guns, as well as providing walked up days. We also have a syndicate on the shoot where occasionally guns or half guns become available. We have been running the shoot for over 30 years and our aim is to provide a relaxed safe and thoroughly enjoyable days shooting for our guests. Guns are welcome to bring their dogs and if required we can help with arrangements for overnight accommodation for travelling parties

**Candacraig Estate, Strathdon** Candacraig Estate is located near Strathdon in Aberdeenshire and is within the beautiful surroundings of the Cairngorms National Park. The Estate is made up of mainly forestry and farmland.The primary shooting on the estate is driven pheasants but we can also offer duck at the end of a day. Pheasant bags offered normally range from 120 to 200 birds per day. The pheasant shoot is stretched across the estate and involves various different driven drives which can offer some challenging birds. Birds are shown from different woods, as well as some game crops. Gun pegs at each drive are easily accessible and gun numbers are normally eight. The shoot is run by the two estate gamekeepers who are well experienced. Transport is in the form of a converted army land rover ambulance and this can be offered on the day to transport the guns from drive to drive if requested. The running of the day is normally the following: * 9:00- Meet * 9:30– Start the days shooting * 11:00- Refreshments and a bite to eat (Gun’s provide this themselves) * 11:30– Continue Shooting * 13:00– Lunch (A simple Lunch is offered in the cosy gun room at Greystone, alcohol should be brought by the Guns if required) * 14:00– Start the afternoon’s shooting * 15:30– End of the day and the Guns are offered a brace of Pheasant to take away with them. The estate itself is unable to offer accommodation, but we are happy to help with this and there are a number of suitable places to stay nearby such as the Colquhonnie Hotel and the Kildrummy Hotel. With 12 additional self contained properties also available within the estate adding potential for a further 40 overnight guests. This provides the ideal setting for hosting your event. With the castles impressive ballroom able to cater for 120 guests. Drumtochty Castle offers something for everyone. With clay pigeon shooting for beginners to simulated game days and game shooting for the more experienced Gun. Set within 350 acres, the grounds offer a mix of terrain to challenge even the keenest of shot. Your day can start with coffee and tea in the castle then out onto the estate for some great sport, lunch can be served either in the castle or out on the estate. After your enjoyable day you are invited to have an evening meal in the castle then either relax in front of the open fire in the Gold room or in the hot tub.  Drumtochty castles game shooting offers pheasant, partridge and duck shooting, you and your guests will be out on the estate with the castles gamekeeper. Your team of guns can be a minimum of 2 guns up to a maximum of 10 guns. You and your team will shoot through the castle woods, game crops and the castles famous Whin banking where you may get the chance to test your shooting at snipe and woodcock. On your shoot day you will be charged only for what game you shoot (£25 per bird)and for the hire of a maximum of 2 beaters (£35 per beater).   Simulated game days can be arranged for 4-10 guests, half days and full days can be arranged. Guests will be given the chance to shoot at 300-500 clay targets per drive they will range from high targets to lower high speed targets. Simulated game days are ideal for the sportsman during the close season. Half days cost £130 per person , Full days cost £200 per  person.  Drumtochty Castles sister estate Reraig Forest, offers Red Deer stalking on Scotland's West coast. Boasting some of the countries finest trophy stags, set against a backdrop of rolling glens and rugged coastline. This challenging pursuit for the keenest of Sportsmen and women, will test and reward in equal measure. Accompanied by the Estates own Stalker, you will be taken to the range to get your eye in and check your zero.  Once everyone is happy,you will be taken out on to the estates 1600 acres of spectacular hill ground. Stretching from the shores of Lochcarron through forest, upwards on to open hill, your stalk will allow for breath taking views as you pause to scan the landscape for your Stag. Once identified, you will close on your quarry. At the end of a successful stalk you will be presented with your trophy head to serve as a permanent reminder of your experience.
