  • Ellingham Sporting ltdBGA ASSURED

    Northumberland, United Kingdom

Ellingham Shoot is run over 5,000 acres of mixed woodland, arable and moorland. We have separate partridge beats with some fantastic views of the Northumbrian coast and Cheviot Hills. The partridge ground is made up of bracken, heather and white ground with over 15 different drives including several where the guns stand in gullies to be tested by very fast birds coming over ridges or hedges. We also have some drives with high birds, in particular the Brockdam Banks and the Wandylaw Hill drives. These two drives often have a ratio of 8/1 while our other drives are usually 5/1. The pheasant drives are a mix of game cover and woods, some of which give some excellent sport throughout the season. We have mixed pheasant, partridge and duck drives. The majority of our days are 200+driven partridge, pheasant and duck but we also run small boundary days at very good rates for 50+ bird days which might suit smaller parties. We have nearly 50 different drives and have the scope to offer sport to suit novice and experienced guns alike. Ellingham is a popular shoot with many regular guns and a great atmosphere. We welcome parties of up to 10 guns and can arrange breakfast, lunch and evening meals. The meeting place is The Packhorse Inn, a country pub in the village of Ellingham which offers food and accommodation. For guns travelling from further afield the area offers a wide range of suitable shoot-friendly hotels. This is a lovely part of north Northumberland. • Blawearie ShootBGA ASSURED

    Northumberland, United Kingdom

Blawearie Shoot is found in a beautiful wild area of north Northumberland steeped in history. Standing on the pegs beside the Harehope Burn you will be surrounded by rocky outcrops, iron age hill forts, bronze age cairns and enjoy fantastic views of the Cheviot Hills to the west and an enchanting valley to the south. We have developed some excellent partridge drives on this ground over the past 5 or 6 years and improved the access to the remote areas as well as putting in lunch shelters. The high partridge on Longside, Harehope Hill and Nun Law drives will challenge the very best of shots as they flush off the top of the hills. In the narrow rocky gullies, you will be challenged by fast birds crossing from the top of the rocky banks. We offer a warm welcome and excellent hospitality to all our guns.

  • Carham

    Northumberland, United Kingdom

The Carham shoot provides a fun day out in rolling countryside, involving about 150 acres of woods set in mixed farmland running over four ridges. We always let to whole parties, mostly of about 8 guns, but 6 to 10 is fine. From a skeleton of larger woods, the shoot has grown through a network of smaller coverts and the odd game strip to offer three full day’s shooting. Carham provides varied and interesting shooting, a lot of fun and an excellent day out. The open character of the countryside gives the wind every opportunity to play a part – which can really add to the excitement.   The shoot is based on pheasants, all home-reared or wild, with occasional guest appearances from wild partridges – there are plenty of them, but normally they manage to avoid being shot! Days are based on target bags of 150 up to 400, but mostly around 200 birds. Although most parties consist of 8 guns, anything from 6 to 10 can be accommodated happily for single days or back-to-back, as required. We provide a proper lunch in our farmhouse - and are happy to include non-shootists. We always let days as a whole to one party.
