Blawearie Shoot is found in a beautiful wild area of north Northumberland steeped in history. Standing on the pegs beside the Harehope Burn you will be surrounded by rocky outcrops, iron age hill forts, bronze age cairns and enjoy fantastic views of the Cheviot Hills to the west and an enchanting valley to the south. We have developed some excellent partridge drives on this ground over the past 5 or 6 years and improved the access to the remote areas as well as putting in lunch shelters. The high partridge on Longside, Harehope Hill and Nun Law drives will challenge the very best of shots as they flush off the top of the hills. In the narrow rocky gullies, you will be challenged by fast birds crossing from the top of the rocky banks. We offer a warm welcome and excellent hospitality to all our guns.
Hospitality
The guns will be treated to very special elevenses and lunch in the field using our lunch huts.
About the hosts
The head keeper is Terry Mather and he will be your host for the day. Catering in the field is freshly cooked and prepared by his wife Fon.

Another great season with Terry , the quality of the birds is outstanding. The team of beaters are well trained and are able to present excellent birds. AS OTHERS HAVE SAID TERRY AND FON MORE THAN GO OUT OF THIER WAY TO ENSURE WE ALL HAVE A GOOD DAY. THE BEATING AND PICKING UP GUYS ARE A JOY TO OBSERVE AND OPERATE LIKE A MILITARY OPERATION QUIETLY AND EFFICENTLY AND WITH A SMILE . THE MEETING PLACE IS THE TANKERVILLE ARMS CANNOT RATE THE PLACE HIGHLY ENOUGH AND HAVE NOW STAYED TWICE AND BACK AGAIN IN DECEMBER

Terry and his Wife Fon put on a fantastic day. The scenery and hospitality are always top notch. Well organised day and fantastic birds. A few drives are a serious challenge. Red legs off the moors are some of the finest birds to shoot at. We have shot it in most months during the season even in january. Always a great day. Look forward to going back soon.

Have shot at both Ellingham and Blawearie with Terry and his team on many occasions and he has always put on an excellent day.
