From very high sided hills and across deep valleys, showing some extreme partridges. Drives for all levels of ability, days from 150-300 birds available. Pheasants start with us mid October, where they can be mixed in with the partridge drives. Our pheasant drives are presented well, covering the whole gun line where everyone has the opportunity. Offering varied heights and speed of challenging birds. Usually on your day, we do 4 drives. This can be done 2 drives Elevens 1 drive Lunch 1 drive Or some teams prefer to shoot through and have lunch at the end of the shooting day in the house or log cabin

Phoines Estate, Scottish Highlands We are delighted to be able to offer the letting of a wide range of sporting opportunities available on the Phoines Estate. Phoines is a traditional mixed Highland sporting Estate covering some 20,000 acres of the Cairngorms National Park, offering guests fantastic opportunities to shoot a range of game and we are delighted to be able to offer the most exclusive and tailormade packages to meet all requirements. The Estate also benefits from having its own accommodation on site in the form of Phoines Lodge; a classic Scottish Lodge set at the foot of the impressive Cairngorm hills, providing the ideal location for teams to relax during their stay. The lodge benefits from a large sitting room and a beautiful dining room, both of which are ideal for entertaining guests. The closest airport is Inverness, which is approximately one hour’s drive from the Estate and the “sleeper” train can conveniently be taken from London to Kingussie, which is a mere 10 minutes from the Estate. Otherwise car access is excellent with the A9 running nearby. Mini Driven / Walked-Up Days Phoines ability to provide superb rough and walked up low ground shooting is unrivalled, and has been described as possibly the very best low ground mini driven and walked-up shooting the UK has to offer. The estate boasts the most beautiful and varied terrain, providing ideal habitat for a range of species and lending to a diverse range of shooting, all within the stunning Cairngorms National Park. Teams can expect a variety of target species to include; pheasant, partridge, snipe, rabbit, pigeon, and duck. The days, which are offered from late-October onwards, can be tailored to suit individual teams requirements, but are generally set at 35-50 head, depending on the teams shooting ability. The days are structured in a relaxed and informal manner, largely shaped by the client’s requirements. During the day, the guns will walk in a line and shoot game as it rises in front. Guns may also be strategically placed below a cover or thicket while the keepers flush game in a mini-driven style. There will be opportunities for the team to take short breaks during the day at their leisure, with a picnic lunch also being provided. The days are charged at a fixed price of £1,850 per day for a team of up to six guns. If teams wish to shoot more than 35-50 head we would of course be delighted to quote accordingly. Grouse will not be a target species offered on these days. However, if the opportunity does arise and a grouse flushes, the team is welcome to shoot them within the quoted price season depending. Duck Flighting Duck flighting is available on a number of the Estate’s duck ponds. Duck flights can be included in a day’s sport on the Estate and works particularly well for those guests staying at Phoines Lodge. Duck flights will be priced on request. Ptarmigan Shooting The Estate can offer, if stocks allow, the rare opportunity to shoot walked-up Ptarmigan. The anticipated bag of Ptarmigan would be one brace per gun, with a maximum of four guns, priced at £850 per gun. Hill Loch Fishing Hill loch fishing is available on two of the Estate’s lochs; one situated a short distance from the lodge and the other found in the hills at the foot of a beautiful Munro. These lochs have a mixture of stocked trout and some impressive wild brown trout, which can reach a reasonable size. Hill loch fishing will be priced on request. Accommodation Phoines lodge is a traditional sporting lodge with all the features a shoot party requires. The facilities include a large dining room and sitting room with an open fire as well as an onsite Gun room. The lodge has the ability to sleep a total of 19 guests in 10 rooms. The letting of these rooms is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, with no drinks (alcohol or otherwise) provided. Drinks must be provided by the team and can be delivered in time for your arrival. With over 2000 acres of Ayrshire parkland, woodland and rolling meadows, Carnell Estates provides a magnificent setting for a shooting party. The Carnell Shoot is well over a 100 years old. The 15th century main house is renowned for its luxury accommodation, great hospitality and fun. Sitting within spectacular gardens the house is very private. A main day usually consists of three drives, 11s around the fire-pit by the main house, out for a further drive before returning to the house for drinks then lunch. After lunch, we try to get in two drives but on days with shorter light, it may be one. Bags vary between 200-500 per day. With quality, high driven pheasants and partridges, back to back days can be arranged with over night accommodation in the house. The house is comfortably furnished with elegant, log-fired reception rooms. There are 10 bedrooms for guests with king or twin beds each having its own bathroom. Next season, we will be offering a few mini-driven days in the outside woods with bags from 70-150 birds per day for up to 8 guns. The Estates have been home to the Findlay Family for several hundred years and now home to Micky Findlay and his partner Adrienne Eastwood. They are both on hand to ensure fantastic hospitality is had whether for a group of friends or a corporate day.

The Isle of Luing shoot offers early season driven Partridge shooting over a mix of sea cliffs and steep gully's with outstanding views and excellent catering. Mixed bags in the mid-season and some challenging Pheasant shooting means there is something for everyone. Driven packages are available both midweek and over the weekend for teams of 8 to 10 guns. Fully catered, ensuite, accommodation is also available, with an exciting local menu and hand picked wines. A typical trip can include single or back-to-back driven days as well as walked-up/rough shooting days with Snipe and Woodcock as a bolt-on, additional Wildfowling for Duck and Geese is also available. We generally look to cap any single day at 250; however multiple driven day packages are available. Stalking for Red and Fallow deer as well as Boar and Trophy goats can also be included. Located within the Inner Hebrides of Argyllshire, the Luing Estate comprises nine thousand acres across a unique multi-island setting. The island of Luing (pronounced with a silent U) is central to the estate and combined with a number of surrounding islands, including the island of Scarba, we can offer guns a unique sporting package. The estate has rugged, steep topography offering some challenging driven birds; additionally we have plenty of wild rougher ground and can combine walked-up, rough shooting and mini-driven shooting to suit our clients. Typical car travel time to the Luing ferry is 2.5 hours from Glasgow Airport and 3 hours from Edinburgh Airport, both are beautiful routes that take you through the Lomond and Trossachs national park. The Luing ferry leaves from North Cuan Ferry Terminal every half hour from 7.30am until 6pm, it takes 5 minutes to cross and we are located only 5 minutes south of the Luing Ferry Terminal, the postcode is PA34 4TU.
