All of the days are run from a local pub (near Tetbury, Gloucestershire) or the shoots own lodge, where breakfast and post shoot lunch is served, in the field guns will enjoyed drinks and a lavish Tapas style 11's alfresco. Cold Aston is one of the Cotswolds finest simulated shoots, set in over 4000 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside, with very deep pasture valleys offering truly challenging simulated game shooting from the start of March until August. All teams will meet at the shoot lodge for tea, coffee and bacon rolls. From there we head out onto the stunning estate for two drives, making the best use of some very deep valleys, simulating all manner of game species. Elevenses are taken in the field with our experienced chef, followed by three more drives, we then return to the Estate shoot lodge for a late two course lunch. Situated very close to the Fosse Way its ideally located for teams travelling from the north or the south. Locally there are numerous award-winning hotels and pubs for teams to stay.

At Cotswold Fieldsports, we provide simulated clay shoot days which are as close to a game shoot day as possible to extend the enjoyment of shooting into the summer months in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. Our days are generally suited to more experienced guns, however we welcome less experienced guns and newcomers when accompanied by an instructor. Starting at the local pub with breakfast provided, each day begins with a briefing before moving on to shoot a couple of drives before elevenses. The clays are designed to simulate driven pheasant and partridge and more drives will be shot after the elevenses break. Our days can easily be tailored to suit your requirements, taking into account the experience of the team of guns. Cotswold Fieldsports also holds a number of unique Clay Shoot Gundog Training Days throughout the year to allow those with peg dogs to practice their skills ready for the shooting season. The days simulate a driven game shoot day with clays for the guns and dummy retrieves for the dogs at the end of each drive, giving the guns a chance to train their dogs in as close a scenario as possible to a game day. Miserden is something very special, a truly unique sporting estate nestled perfectly in the heart of the Cotswolds. The stunning Jacobean house takes centre stage to some extraordinary topography, without doubt the best in the whole of Gloucestershire. All teams will meet at the house, with coffee taken in the award-winning historical gardens, with commanding views over the Golden Valley and beyond. From there we head out onto the draw dropping 3000-acre estate for two drives, making the best use of some very deep valleys, simulating all manner of game species. Elevenses are taken, followed by two more drives, then we return to the house for a late lunch, either al-fresco in the garden or the panelled dining room. This isn’t just another simulated game day, this an opportunity to enjoy a piece of old England, with perhaps some of the highest clay drives in the country.
