All of the days are run from a local pub (near Tetbury, Gloucestershire) or the shoots own lodge, where breakfast and post shoot lunch is served, in the field guns will enjoyed drinks and a lavish Tapas style 11's alfresco. Cold Aston is one of the Cotswolds finest simulated shoots, set in over 4000 acres of rolling Cotswold countryside, with very deep pasture valleys offering truly challenging simulated game shooting from the start of March until August. All teams will meet at the shoot lodge for tea, coffee and bacon rolls. From there we head out onto the stunning estate for two drives, making the best use of some very deep valleys, simulating all manner of game species. Elevenses are taken in the field with our experienced chef, followed by three more drives, we then return to the Estate shoot lodge for a late two course lunch. Situated very close to the Fosse Way its ideally located for teams travelling from the north or the south. Locally there are numerous award-winning hotels and pubs for teams to stay.

Archerton is a historic Royal Hunting Lodge where discerning sportsman have enjoyed traditional game for many years. Set at the centre of the stunning Dartmoor National Park, there is no greater backdrop to experience excellent, rare sport. The only shoot on the high moor, Archerton is uniquely placed as a sporting estate. Spring to Autumn the wild moor, deep valleys, steep woodland ridges and stonking hedges create one of the finest simulated game shoots in the West Country. Archerton is a true reflection of your traditional, quintessential English game day offering a vast variety of unique and exceptional drives that present challenging clays -‘birds’ akin to few other estates. We pride ourselves on the gun never seeing the state-of-the-art Promatic game trailers and discrete, high tower flurry launchers. Archerton offers exceptional coveys of fast partridge over 20ft flowering rhododendron hedges, to high pheasants from all angles, over steep woodland ridges and deep valleys; ‘birds’ the West Country is famous for. We shoot up to 7 pegs per day over five drives, 2 guns per peg which allows you to load for each other and spot any escaping ‘birds.’ We draw pegs in the morning, moving up 2 and ensure each team will see at least 4000 birds throughout the day. Numbers of guns and shooting days are strictly limited ensuring each day is exclusive to you and any guests you choose to invite. Coupled with unstinting hospitality and in house menus using the most local seasonal ingredients, these days will replicate every aspect of being hosted by a high-quality family shoot. Having been featured in Conde Nast for their hospitality, Archerton House is perfect retreats to rest those weary shoulders and discuss that perfect bird. Throughout the day you are hosted by the Shoot Captain, a member of the family, and our terrific team, who will ensure your every need is met with consummate ease. At our heart, the main aim at Archerton is to always do our best to make sure that you feel like part of the family; we want you to feel like an honoured guest, never just a customer. With that in mind individual teams can have their days tailored to their parties’ personal requirements to create bespoke days. We offer on peg coaching, instruction, gun hire and the option of pre-ordering cartridges to collect at Archerton all at small cost in comparison to the large corporate days nearer the city. Aside from the day, we pride ourselves on our ability to host parties for the whole weekend for up to 14 people. Archerton can accommodate 14 people across 7 bedrooms, so either arrive the night before or stay for longer. Come to Dartmoor for a fabulous day of driven clay shooting. Ashmoor Farm is just 6 miles from the A30 on the eastern edges of Dartmoors in country, near the moorland town of Chagford. Your day will start with tea or coffee and a freshly cooked bacon sandwich, then we'll head out onto the rolling farmland, Ashmoor will give us open grass fields, deep coombes, peaty bog land and bracken and gorse clad slopes, all providing great opportunities to present driven pheasant partridge pigeon and grouse. There will be five drives in total, and we'll break for Elevenses when you can chat about the birds you have hit and the ones you have missed. A couple more drives, finishing with a Meal drinks before you leave, we can also arrange local accommodation. We can cater for parties of between eight and eighteen guns, whether a private party or a single gun you'll be welcomed and assisted as you need. We are a small family run business with many years experience of clay and game shooting and our customer service to you is very important to us.
