Set in the steep valleys of the Isle of Wight Downs, Rowborough & Cheverton offers partridges over dry chalk grass valleys in September, followed by mixed pheasant and partridge over mixed broadleaf woodland from October. Guests are welcomed to Rowborough for coffee, pastries, etc., before drawing pegs. A briefing by Matt our host follows before loading into our heated gun bus, complete with bar and fireplace. We may go straight into the deep end with high birds from the first drive. After two drives we take elevenses either in the field or at the lodge. After elevenses we then usually have two further drives. Lunch is served back in the shoot room for guns and non-shooting guests. There are canapés before lunch with wines, followed by desert, cheese and of course port. Most of our guests choose to shoot through and take lunch at the end of the day. Alternatively you may break for lunch and resume afterwards. Our Head Game Keeper, Adam Royal, provides the best possible game for our guns with the highest quality birds. With the assistance of steep down land he strives to provide the best shooting on the Isle of Wight. The shoot prides itself on showing top quality birds, in a fun and relaxed environment. While the beaters and pickers have lunch separately there is plenty of cross over and we feel that this adds to the "family shoot" feel at Rowborough. Although we are predominantly a high bird shoot beginners can also be catered for and are most welcome. Loaders can be provided to assist. The Isle of Wight is much easier to get to than many know with regular ferries from Lymington, Southampton and Portsmouth. Indeed central London to Portsmouth is only 70 miles.

Dates are available throughout the season on weekdays. Cridmore Shoot is sited on the south side of the Isle of Wight spread over a two thousand acre estate . We offer medium to high pheasant, partridge and duck drives. Myself and my son have leased Cridmore Shoot for many years and we can offer a day to your personal preference. All our days are 150 to 200 bird days throughout the season. If you wish to bring guests or your dog to pick up, we are more than happy. On arrival you will be welcomed by myself and transport will be provided via our guns trailer to the various drives around the estate. I will give a quick briefing and you will be able to draw your peg number. After the second drive we offer a drinks break and a quick snack. For lunch we go to our local pub for a carvery and in the afternoon we generally shoot two drives. Accommodation can be arranged if required at a local hotel that caters for shooting parties, prices on request. It is adviceable to book a return ferry crossing to the island via Portsmouth, Southanpton or Lymington.

*Shooting on the IoW 2018-2019 The shoot is in a central and beautiful part of the Island. The day will include, pheasant, partridge, duck and at the end of the season, Woodcock. In October and November there is a higher proportion of partridge which are extremely high & fast and compare with the best in Cornwall. Guns can be selective on what they shoot and should find the birds challenging. **Accommodation** We suggest you stay at the New Holmwood ,a delightful family run hotel, beside the sea only 15 minutes from the centre of Cowes. The rooms are all ensuite and dogs are welcome. There is a diverse selection of Pubs, Wine Bars and entertainment in Cowes even in the Winter. The car ferries are reasonable priced over the shooting season and we can organise a 10% discount on the cost when booked in advance. **A point of interest;** From the Home Counties it is as quick to travel to the IOW as it is to reach Devon or Wales! . 125-130 bird day for a team of 8 guns, per person £695.00 .210 -230 bird day for a team of 8 guns, per person £1,150.00 Guns are transported around the Shoot in a covered trailer pulled by a tractor.
