Arley Hall has been a great sporting estate for centuries and there has been organised game shooting here since the1920's. Traditional driven Pheasant shooting is our main quarry with days of varying sizes available. Surprisingly challenging birds are shown here at Arley which are produced from meticulously planned and sited game crops. Due to the forethought and judgement of past generations, the planting of the woodland makes maximum use of the topography to provide some exciting woodland drives. There is some very high quality driven duck shooting to be had too, taken early on in the season. Some evening duck flighting can also be taken. All in all the Arley sporting estate produces some very good shooting tucked away in a beautiful setting in the north west of England very easily accessible from the M6 J19 or M56 J10. Whilst there is great attention to detail, the shoot has a great friendly atmosphere. Bespoke hospitality is provided Arley Moss Farm, one of the estate farmhouses or at the Hall itself. Simulated Game Shooting Exciting sport can also be had throughout the year with our simulated game shooting. This is in the form of clays shown in a driven form, simulating pheasants or partridge. Teams of guns, whom otherwise may not see each other from one gameshooting season to another, can get together during the out of season summer months. They can enjoy a great days shooting brushing up their skills and catching up with friends at the same time and enjoying the hospitality. A day or half day course is also available for those who are complete novices and new to the sport and want to learn about shooting, covering safety and technique.
