The historic Edwinsford Estate is located nine miles north of Llandeilo in the glorious Cothi Valley, an area of amazing natural beauty. The shoot flanks the estate’s 5 miles of the River Cothi, and the plantations and ancient woodland provide the ideal terrain for an exhilarating and challenging shoot on the steep valley sides. We can offer 150 to 250 bird days. The estate changed ownership five years ago and is now run by three brothers who, as experienced shots themselves, are focused on ensuring that Edwinsford delivers the full potential promised by the spectacular topography and unspoilt countryside. Over the last few years we have made considerable investment  to renew and improve the infrastructure of the shoot. We have also restored several historic drives, with more planned for coming seasons. The steep, wooded valley means that the team can show some of the most challenging and enjoyable shooting around, with fast, high and varied birds. And when we say “high”, we mean “_high_” - we recommend that guns use heavy loads. In the video above the picture is 5x zoomed in and at one-third of normal speed, which should give you an idea of the challenge our birds can present. We are acutely aware of the environmental and political pressures on the sport and are working tirelessly towards our long-term goal of creating a sustainable wild bird shoot. We, and our whole team, are focused on developing a truly modern estate, fit for today’s requirements and pressures, yet maintaining the traditions of driven shooting. We are passionate conservationists and strive to protect and enhance the unspoilt and diverse natural environment that the estate enjoys. All shot game goes into the food chain. In order to help reduce plastic usage, all spent cartridges are recycled and we ask that only fibre wad cartridges are used. Very comfortable accommodation is available within a few miles of the estate at the Ty Mawr Country Hotel,; The Cawdor, Llandeilo and The Plough at Rhosmaen. We can also offer some accommodation on the estate in a newly renovated cottage and shepherds hut. Edwinsford itself is easily reached from the M4. P.S. We also have fantastic salmon and sea trout fishing on 5 miles of the beautiful River Cothi.

Waterwynch farm / Marros mountain Shoot offers we think some of the finest simulated game   Shooting avalable in west wales with marros mountain as it's backdrop the drives are set in the rolling moorland covered with bracken and heather to offer you some of the most chalanging simulated game you will find anywhere we Taylor our days to suit you from novice to experience gun we can offer full or part hospitality on our day which usually Finnish with our spectacular Grouse drive.The day starts with a coffee and bacon sandwich in our logcabin over looking carmarthen bay with views of Tenby,Caldey Island,and Lundy then off to the first Drive where you will have about 400 clay over you it's then off for a stroll to. The next drive (transport can be arranged if needed ) where there will be some chalanging high birds followed by our high gun drive where each gun gets 10 shots at a high bird the winer gets a case of Marros Mountain Ale Brewed by the Pembrockeshire Brewing company then time for lunch this can be anything from a full formal,buffet,or BBQ after lunch a gentle stroll to the 4th drive for some fast and chalanging birds then when the gun have cooled down we finish the day off with our superb Grouse drive where you are in the butts waiting for the low but qwick birds to arrive then back for coffee and cake and a fond farewell.we can change days to suit you please call for more infomation

Rectory Farm Shoot is located 5 miles outside the town of Carmarthen, We have two beats Shot mostly Wednesdays and Thursdays , a family run shoot set in superb countryside with fantastic topography. many drives are game cover crops or scrub gorse rough type land and small wooded banks driven over steep grass valleys also a few blocks of woodland driven over deep valleys across grass fields all showing high quality challenging sporting birds. Overall approximately 3000 acres different drives. Pheasants, Partridge no Duck. We have Woodcock later in the year driven from areas left for this purpose and limited days available. The shoot has been established since 1997 and we are focused on producing quality high birds ,some of our infamous drives like the Quarry, Cethin , Heart attack hill (for beaters only) ,  just to name a few will test even the best game shots frequently having a ratio of 7-1\. Most of our drives all pegs are on grassland and the guns have plenty of time to see the birds coming and you can see the whole line, there are no gliders these birds fly and climb . Fully keepered, usual refreshments and lunch at local hotel on the shoot or estate house very friendly atmosphere  split syndicated and let days. Syndicate days Bags average 200-300 standing 9-10 guns, let days for teams are tailored to suit. There are a number of local hotels within the area happy to accommodate shooting parties, details upon request. The emphasis on this shoot is quality not quantity, we strive to provide a fantastic day out for all that will not be forgotten. December and January have driven woodcock Snipe etc mixed bag days these are very limited.
