We had a fantastic day. Our roving syndicate shot here 2 years, also this September. We couldn't fault the day.

Absolutely Outstanding Day!! We wasn't entirely sure if the day was going to go ahead due the mass of snow that fell the day previous, but we eventually got the green light and went ahead. The gamekeeper and his team of beaters worked really hard to give us a wonderful day, especially with the amount of snow (2ft at times) that we encountered. Everyone on this shoot made us feel welcome which was lovely. We also had a photographer with us and she managed to capture some amazing pictures, and what with the already beautiful landscape the snow really added to the euphoric scenery. This is a fantastic shoot. I am a pretty average (to poor) shot but I took a party of 8 other guns, to whom I owed shooting hospitality, together with their wives at the beginning of October. We had a wonderful day. Ben runs the shoot in a really relaxed way with a delightful keeper and charming Welsh beaters and pickers-up --- but it is obviously highly professional behind the scenes. Most of the other guns were excellent experienced shots and they were stunned by the quality of the shoot. One said that the first drive was the best he had ever encountered. Amazing high birds coming off the hills and over the woods. Beautiful countryside with staggering views, great people and an excellent lunch, kept all the wives happy as well as the guns. Can't wait to come back next year.
