Set in 6000 acres of stunning N. Wales countryside, Hanmer Shoot incorporates two estates - Hanmer and Gredington which are run as one.
We offer 100 - 300+ bird partridge days,pheasant days, mixed days, which could also include a duck drive and mini driven days.
Driven partridge days cost £45 per bird and driven pheasant days are £45 per bird also.
Here at Hanmer we offer clients well driven partridge and pheasants at an affordable cost. We are a sporting club, so can offer VAT free shooting once a member (£10/ person for a day’s membership)
We have over 30 named drives from both wooded valleys to cover crop drives. These combined with the natural topography of our countryside, set the scene for a stunning days sport.
We pride ourselves in our ability to accommodate all of our guests and offer a professional, well run day out. We can provide transport around the shoot, even taking you right up to your peg, should you require this.
A typical days sport here at Hanmer begins with a coffee and a pre-shoot briefing. Mid-morning a substantial field-break is provided either in the field or the gunroom. The shoot is very accessible as it is on the Welsh/Cheshire/Shropshire border.
We are able to accommodate single guns and full teams.If you have a date in mind for a driven day or a walked up or mini driven day that is not listed, please contact us and we will try to help.

After a recommendation from our Coach Brett , Northwales Shooting school, we visited Hanmer Shooting . Best ever shooting day we had . The personal touch from Richard and Melanie , the professional service we got , the food !!! . The actual ground where you shoot is amazing , the birds fantastic . We go to many shooting places but Hanmer is the ONE . What can I say other than … sensational!!! Richard and his family were absolutely amazing … from the hospitality to the shooting to the food. I would go as far as saying it’s the best shooting day I’ve had in my life , and we have been shooting over 50 years combined me and my dad. Not a single criticism or bad word to say. I would definitely book again and I’m counting the days until I can revisit. IT WAS THAT F***ing good !!! Me and my dad are still smiling … 200 out of 10 if you ask me … and I can’t see anyone saying any different. Thank you very much Richard and family and we will see you again soon !!!

I've shot here a few times now and it is an excellent shoot. On the 100 bird days the drives are great with some excellent birds. I will go on one of the bigger bird days so I can shoot some of the other drives at some stage whe i am a bit more proficient. The breakfast baps and elevenses are filling and plenty of it and the meal at the end of the day is always hearty and traditional, I rarely have the desert because I'm always full. The keeper and the pickers up are professional and friendly and the drives are always fun. Keep up the good work Richard and Melanie and team, it just works.
