For a thrilling experience of quintessentially English driven game shooting, join the Staddon family at Shakenhurst Shoot – a 1,300 acre shooting Estate centred around 300 acres of woodland – located on the South Shropshire/ Worcester border in the village of Bayton.
Elevating this sporting tradition into a social occasion like no other, the Shakenhurst Shoot offers a combination of high and challenging birds, varying terrain, spectacular landscape and attentive hospitality.
Shakenhurst Shoot is an independent, family run shoot offering between 150 – 250 mixed partridge and pheasant bird shooting. A typical day will begin with guns arriving for coffee at Shakenhurst Hall where they will be greeted by owner Louis Staddon and Game Keeper, Oliver. The morning will consist of two drives before stopping to refuel at elevenses; two or three further drives will take place in the afternoon. The drives are a combination of typographies from cover crops, open fields to wooded valleys.

I have shot here on numerous occasions over the last 5 years watching the shoot grow each season and every time it has never failed in producing excellent days . My most recent day was 28/1/18 so late in the season but Oliver and the beat team worked amazingly hard to present testing and quantity of birds in every drive. With host Louis making sure we were well positioned and looked after throughout the day as normal. We reached the bag of just over 100 after 5 drives . Definitely will be returning next season again and would highly recommend this shoot !
