Pheasant
Partridge

Madresfield Court and Estate is situated in beautiful, rural Worcestershire, nestled between the foot of the Malvern Hills and the River Severn, offering pheasant and partridge from a variety of undulating lowland drives, across woodland, field banks and valleys. The Shoot is managed by Head Gamekeeper Andy Yeomans and drives vary from day to day, depending on weather conditions. The Court itself has a fascinating history and has been home to the Lygon family for over 900 years. The current occupants, the 28th and 29th generations, are Lucy and Jonathan Chenevix-Trench and their family; they are keen to provide a select number of fully hosted, friendly and relaxed shoot days where 8-10 guns and their guests can enjoy and participate in the heritage, tradition and unique typography of Madresfield and be well-looked after by the Madresfield Shoot team.

Hospitality

A generous welcome, delicious catering and pleasing refreshments are provided throughout the day. Guns and guests meet and dine at The Court and the day is fully hosted to ensure everyone feels properly looked-after. For those wishing to extend their Madresfield experience and enjoyment, we have three highly appointed, 3 to 4 bed, comfortable holiday cottages available to let in the Madresfield Village. All have wood-burners and hot tubs. For further details call the Estate Office. In addition, the Madresfield Butcher’s and Grill in Great Malvern offers farm to fork dining and is the perfect place to watch the world go by whilst enjoying a top-quality beer or cocktail.

Topography

Grass, arable fields and a mix of woodland, small valleys and banks provide superb cover for game. The beauty of the Estate’s geographical position can be appreciated throughout, often providing fine views of the Malvern Hills, an AONB.

Conservation Efforts

The Madresfield Estate participates in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, the Sustainable Farming Incentive and practices a regenerative method of farming and land management, with a view to improving and sustaining the soil and encouraging the diversity of the ecology and nature.
