Elmbridge Farm is a relaxed family run shoot in Worcestershire. The shoot runs over a couple of hundred acres of farmland with a mixed quarry of pheasant and duck, plus the added bonus of wild geese and pigeons. Bags are usually in the region of 100 birds. We shoot a dozen days a year, with most of the days taken by the syndicate and a handful offered to teams of external guns.
Hospitality
- Full English Breakfast in the local pub
- Hearty Hot Lunch of Game Stew or Chilli in the shoot room
- Refreshments throughout the day in the field
Topography
The shoot runs over farmland with lightly undulating hills, woodland, agricultural fields and orchards as well as several lakes for duck shooting.
Conservation Efforts
Elmbridge Farm has a long standing conservation ethos that has greatly increased the bio-diversity of the land. This has been underpinned by the creation of woodland and lakes that are now over 30 years old. The shoot itself is responsibly ran with no shooting of woodcock and other lesser spotted species to encourage their populations to increase in the area. All the quarry that is shot is given away to the guns and beaters for free so that everything gets eaten.
About the hosts
The shoot is run by Nick who owns the farm, he will peg out the guns through the day and ensure that nobody is going thirsty. Gamekeepers John and Steve will run the beaters and no doubt make an appearance in the shoot room and pub.
