Wilton Estate comprises some 14,000 acres of land in Wiltshire, running from Netherhampton, just outside Salisbury, west to Little Langford.

Wilton House, the family home of the Earl and Countess of Pembroke, is a Palladian stately home built on the site of an 8th century abbey.  The buildings and large tracts of land were granted in 1544 by Henry VIII to Sir William Herbert, subsequently created 1st Earl of Pembroke.

Wilton Estate is typical Wiltshire mixed arable and beautiful, rolling chalk downland, bisected by the rivers Nadder and Wylye, affording spectacular views across the county.  A day's shoot will take place in various locations across the Estate, including Wilton Park itself on pheasant shoot days.

The Estate shoot places the emphasis on quality birds, and the primary aim is to provide an enjoyable day's shooting for our clients.

Hosted by our experienced team, a typical day will start with bacon rolls and coffee in the Restaurant at Wilton House, where the guns will be welcomed and briefed by our head gamekeeper.  Drives will break for 'elevenses' and continue until lunch.  Depending on the team's progress, drives may continue after lunch to achieve bird numbers.

The Wilton Estate shoot has been running for a number of years, providing very enjoyable shoot days over rolling Wiltshire downland with top-quality birds and friendly, experienced and knowledgeable staff.

All queries should be addressed to the Resident Agent.

Hospitality

All day hospitality included, beginning with bacon baps and coffee on arrival, elevenses in the field and lunch/tea in the Wyatt Kitchen in Wilton House.

I had the pleasure of joining the first partridge day this season and was very impressed with the quality of the days sport, the birds were familiar with the landscape and thus flew very well. I would recomend this shoot to any shot looking for an enjoyable days sport with friendly beaters and hosts that make a day to remember
