Pheasant
Partridge

Valley Farm is set in the rolling south Wiltshire countryside adjacent to the Wylye Valley.  It remains a family-run shoot which covers chalk downland typical of the Salisbury Plain and small wooded areas.

A few seasons after a successful shoot reorganisation we are entering the coming season with a few opportunities for new memberships on this exciting, challenging and friendly shoot.

Valley Farm shoot provides partridge shooting in the early season, moving to mixed partridge and pheasant days later in the season, with bags of 150 birds although we are happy to discuss larger bags if required. Memberships are offered with fixed prices, depending on requirements and as the shoot continues to run under the owning family's ethos; we do not seek to charge overages.

The maxim of the shoot day is to provide sporting quarry for all standards of guns in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, consisting of, on average, four drives with hospitality provided throughout the day.  A typical itinerary is detailed further below.

We can offer days for teams of eight to ten guns, depending on the members’ requirements and the size of bag. There is also the occasional opportunity to join an existing team.

We also welcome non-shooting guests to join the day as part of the team and are happy for guns to bring their own dogs, providing they are reasonably well behaved.

Helpers / minders can be sourced for novice guns; however, this is by separate arrangement.

Do not hesitate to contact us with any queries.

Hospitality

We provide hospitality for the team throughout the day and post shoot, as part of the fixed price.

An idea of the level of catering is described in the Itinerary for the day and we are happy to share the news that for the coming season we will be supported and assisted with shoot day hospitality by The Prince Leopold in Upton Lovell.
