Smoking Barrels Roving Syndicate is a friendly and welcoming group made of mainly single guns. We offer a variety of shooting opportunities from small walked up days to "proper" driven days up to 300 birds for full teams.
We already have a number of estates booked for the 2021/22 season as well as opportunities for stalking, fishing and other delights. These opportunities may be anywhere in the country and could offer you an opportunity to try something new rather than the old well-trodden paths. These days will be released to our syndicate members via email and released on this site.
We also have access to last-minute deals where perhaps teams have cancelled their days or a shoot wants to put on extra days to fill out the season - for individuals or teams that could be flexible these deals can represent very good value for money.
Hospitality
Any day booked with smoking barrels includes our administrative help in the price. We will book any transport, accommodation and meals that are required for your trip.
Topography
From the mountains and valleys of Scotland, to the shoreland of west wales and the rolling English countryside. We have shoots that really put our guns to the test no matter where in the country.
About the hosts
Ieuan Jones - As your syndicate manager and host I will ensure everything is perfectly suited to your day. As an ex British infantry officer and someone who has had a shotgun in hand from the age of 10, I have had an experience of everything. I understand the shoots hard work and effort to conserve the natural beauty of the area whilst providing some fantastic driven shooting whilst trying to run a profitable business. I also understand the struggles of a single gun that misses out on a lot of the 'best' driven days as they are sold to full teams only. I have had a career based in coordination and management in the military and know how to run a smooth programme as well as ensuring everyone has a great day.
