I have some of the finest Woodpigeon shooting in the South East / South West England where we have a lot of Woodpigeons to control thereby preventing damage occurring to the farmers crops.
The normal number of guns on a day is between 2 and 4. We endeavour to go the extra mile to give you the very best experience possible on a days shooting. We provide all the equipment - hides, seats and decoys for your shooting experience and stay close to or with you all day, to ensure the best possible days shooting. We tend not to shoot our farms more than once every two weeks which allows the birds to be calm and settled which offers you the best chance of success on the day.
The Woodpigeon is an agricultural pest however its flying ability is only comparable to that of a Grouse, offering every shot in the book. A big day can't be guaranteed nor can the size of the final bag as the accuracy will be up to you but we often shoot in excess of 100/200 birds per gun in a day if you can shoot straight.
We made two videos with World Champion George Digweed also please see this Youtube video of a recent days shooting with Gerwyn Jones - The Shooting Show
We do our utmost to provide a professional experience and align the success of the day with our attention to detail often moving the birds around to ensure a successful days shooting.
We have had an exceptional season in 2023 and our guns shot in excess of 18000 Woodpigeons for over 50,000 shots many of them getting their best day ever whist doing a really important job for the farmer in protecting his crops.
The cost of a days shooting with us is £300 takeout fee per day per gun plus £2.50 per shot fired up to a max of 300 shots - this means the day can not cost you more than £1050 per gun per day and you only pay for what you shoot... There are no overage charges if you fire more than 300 shots on the day. If you fire less than 50 shots I will give you another day shooting including the takeout fee.
We are nearly fully booked for Summer 2026 which is a testament to the days shooting I put on. The shooting is either over decoys or flighting ... Please email me for further details.
Please see our latest clip of a Master Class video with World Champion George Digweed at the shooting and Hunting Academy.
Hospitality
Each gun normally provides their own lunch and drinks (alcohol free) we will however spend the day checking you are ok and are enjoying the shooting and will move you if we need to to ensure a successful days shooting and that you get the most enjoyment from the day.
Birds
These are wild birds that confound even the best shots with their flying ability. The birds are either shot over a flightline or decoyed which offers every shot imaginable!
No day is the same and bag size can not be guaranteed but every day is special whatever happens.
Topography
The shooting takes place on farms in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire and is mainly rolling agricultural downland surrounded by small woods and copse's. Weather is more important when shooting pigeons as they don't like to fly in rain if they can help it so we always try and pick the best windy weather day.
About the hosts
I have shot Woodpigeons for 50 years I understand them and their movements. I will do my best to ensure you have a great day however the Woodpigeons will do their very best to ensure you don't!! by doing their very best to evade you... I am here to give max enjoyment to those guns who are time short due to pressure of work whilst carrying out valuable pest control for the farmers whose land I shoot over.

Mr. Juan Marti
I just spent the day shooting pigeons, organized by Mr Pigeon himself. Cracking day, lots of birds on a very strong flight path and also decoying, providing all kinds of shot variety. It was non-stop for several hours and two other gentlemen on adjacent fields had the same positive experience. Mr Pigeon is a fair man and will always strive to provide excellent quality days, giving you 'repeat' days if the pigeons did not cooperate on the first day. Friendly service, with a smile and a strong hand shake. I shall return..!! Juan Marti

Mr Pigeon runs an excellent day's pigeon shooting. He is very upfront about only running the day if he thinks he can provide sport and has never let me done. Pigeons are a wild bird and do not always do what is expected of them however, Mr Pigeon will work tirelessly to get you onto birds. Everything is provided and he regularly checks in with you during the day. I recommend him without reservation.

I've been pigeon shooting with Peter a few times now, and very glad I contacted him as I've had some of the best shooting of my life. I've been shooting pigeons since the age of 12 and have picked up a few good bags along the way, but over the years its been increasingly difficult to find the time and indeed land to shoot over. So if your like me and love your Pigeon shooting defiantly give peter a call he has fantastic access to land and lots of Pigeons! I smashed my PB of 142 on my second trip out, and have had some fantastic and memorable days since. Peter is a brilliant host and excellent guide.

The strongest and most consistent flight line I have ever seen. No decoys, just a hide and being in the right spot. I stopped at 100 as I had enjoyed so many challenging high birds. I have never shot this sort of number without decoys. You get what you pay for and in this case you pay for consistent results. If your time is precious this is the answer.

My Son & I have shot twice with Peter and had a spectacular time. On the first occasion we beat my record that had stood for 36 years and on the second more challenging day my youngster shot his first left and right. Precious moments. We averaged 100 birds per day and were professionally looked after throughout. There can be no guarantees with a wild bird but this is a close as you will get and if your time is precious then it's worth paying the extra premium to go with Mr Pigeon.
