Faulston Shoot – Quality Driven Shooting
Faulston Shoot is a family-run driven shoot with over 20 years of experience, nestled just 15 minutes outside Salisbury in the picturesque village of Bishopstone. We take pride in presenting challenging pheasant and partridge, with our main drives focused on birds driven over a natural 150ft horseshoe, offering a rewarding and memorable experience that will leave you appreciating the day long after.
At Faulston, we are passionate about English shooting, and our ethos is built around creating enjoyable and memorable days out. Whether you're holding a gun, carrying a stick, or beating with a flag, we ensure that the focus is always on traditional English sport and the natural beauty of the countryside.
Quality birds, rather than quantity, are at the heart of our approach, with everyone encouraged to take home the game they shoot. We believe in fostering an inclusive, community feel, where guns and beaters are fully integrated throughout the day. Guns are welcome to bring their own dogs, family, and friends to enjoy the experience.
Transport around the shoot and hospitality is provided on the day.
Our days are hosted in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with 50-bird days available for teams of 8–10 guns. Days are sold at £57.50 a bird.
Hospitality
Throughout the day, a selection of food and drink will be provided to ensure you’re well-fueled. Elevenses will feature home-cooked refreshments, often incorporating locally shot game from previous days. In the afternoon, an alfresco barbecue will be available in the barn for those who wish to dine outdoors. Alternatively, if preferred, a full sit-down meal can be arranged at the local pub for the shoot party.
About the hosts
For over 20 years, Faulston Shoot has been run by head keeper Paul, with the steady guidance of his father, Albert. What began as an all-consuming "hobby" on the land they grew up around has flourished into a passionate pursuit of the sport and countryside. Paul and Albert cherished the opportunity to spend countless hours nurturing strong-flying birds for their shooting guests.
Since Albert's passing, Paul’s son Joseph has stepped in to assist with running the shoot. Together, Paul and Joe continue the legacy, striving to uphold the high standards set by Albert, ensuring each day at Faulston is as memorable and enjoyable as ever.
