A small family friendly shoot.
Mixed shooting mainly Pheasant although woodcock, snipe, partridge and some challenging duck are also common place.
Capable of presenting some very challenging shooting, although novices welcome. A variety of shooting including a large escarpment (shot from below) with drives such as CortonWood, Pond Drive, Stump and Bupton, and some smaller woods, coppices, hedges and grass land.
Days can be tailored to suit your and your teams requirements, from driven days to walked up shooting, with the option of rough shooting depending on size of team. We have days available for both full teams and individual pegs, depending on the format of the day.
Transport around the shoot can be provided.
Hospitality
Can be provided depending on team requirements for the day - breakfast rolls & coffee / tea, 11's in the field
Birds
The estate's topography lends itself to present both challenging driven game shooting from the escarpment, to some more modest birds driven through small woods.
We also benefit from a few ponds and scrapes that occasionally present wild duck and snipe.
Topography
Rolling English countryside, with a mix of low hills, gently sloping valleys, a long steep escarpment perfectly situated to take advantage of the prevailing wind.
Conservation Efforts
We are encouraging the reintroduction of native grey partridges to the estate coupled with the ongoing work to improve habitats for Snipe
About the hosts
We look to encourage a casual, relaxed & hopefully enjoyable day for all.
Travel information
Access via tarmac roads, easy access for all vehicles
Final thoughts
We run small farm, family friendly days with the aim to present an enjoyable day rather than a huge bag.

Exactly what it says on the tin! A very enjoyable day had at this shoot. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere throughout along with some excellent shooting. First 2 drives were fantastic sport, sending birds off of a tall wooded bank. The beating line was well coordinated and the spread of birds made for every gun having ample shooting. Considering this was there first day of the season the birds went very well gaining great height. This was followed by 11s with a lovely spread. The afternoon drives were smaller on the lower ground but the quality, and quantity, was still excellent. The day finished off with soup and cakes back at the farm. You couldn’t ask for anymore on a 50-60 bird day. Good quality shooting and a great team of hosts. I hope to be back again!

Exactly what it claims to be, a small friendly farm shoot. But, what it also has is some superb shooting off an escarpment providing some pretty high birds along with some for beginners. James is a super host and Vince looked after us really well. We also got a bonus snipe drive in. Definitely back next season.
