Ledsham is a village and civil parish 4 miles north of Castleford and 11 miles east of Leeds split across the county of north and west Yorkshire . The village is close to the A1 Great North Road, and is accessible from the M1, M62 and the A64.
The day starts off in one of our local Inn,s "The Chequers" where you will enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast in A pub that dates back to the early 1600s and is one of the oldest traditional pubs in Yorkshire and England. Over the years very little has changed and many of the traditional Yorkshire pub features are still in use. Low beams, alcove rooms, roaring open fires and trinkets collected throughout the pub’s rich history all add to its unique atmosphere and character. situated in one of Yorkshire’s most beautiful villages, with a selection of regional ales.
You will then enjoy a morning of quality driven birds at a leisurely pace breaking for lunch back at The Chequers inn. in the afternoon you will then do further drives. A range of alcoholic and nonalcoholic refreshments provided throughout the day.
We offer 'let days' with bags consisting of 175 pheasant and partridge fielding 8/9 guns.

Been shooting on and off here for years and always have a cracking day. Nice variation of terrain and challenging birds. Staff are accommodating and entertaining. Highly recommended.

We had a 175 bird day here recently, sadly I would not recommend the shoot to other guns. The shoot owner said we hit the bag and we must take their word for it, but i thought we were slightly short; mind you, it can be hard to tell sometimes. What upset the team was the host. we found the host less than friendly. The whole day really felt as if the shoot didn't want us to be there, very rushed. At the end of the day the host left before all the guns parked at the pub and the keeper didn't say anything just waited for his tips then left in a hurry. I now see why the price per bird is so cheap. What shame, the area is beautiful and this could be something truly special!

A very well run and friendly shoot in lovely countryside. They ran an excellent simulated day in the summer which was very good value for money. The driven day was booked on the strength of that. Good high partridge and pheasant were presented all across the line - no poor pegs, there was a high level of consistency. Everyone went the extra mile during the interlude between lockdowns to ensure a great day.
