An opportunity for individual guns to take up few remaining spaces on a small family syndicated pheasant shoot in the heart of Sussex. A warm and friendly atmosphere awaits for safe guns.
Our day begins with coffee and refreshments in the saddlestone bar. Beaters are made up of a willing few, along with wives, girlfriends and extras who fancy a day of fresh air!
All guns are stood although it is quite normal for guns to help tap in the larger woods before moving out to their pegs before the final part of the drive. A reasonable amount of walking is required. Most of the ground is slightly undulating with small woods, copses, spinneys and 4 dedicated blocks of game cover.
Average bags are around 40 birds, can be more or less, our largest has been 74. Lunch is a sit down affair in the barn on some hay bales, and will usually involve some hot homemade soup, stew, game pie etc.
Our shoot is run to simply cover costs, we have a part time keeper, and every effort is made to provide a good day for everyone. Days available are 17 Nov and 15 Dec. Cost is £130/gun/day to include lunch. No VAT.
