The Norfolk Estate, Arundel is one of the foremost shooting estates in the country. It consists of a very high quality reared pheasant shoot within the walls of Arundel Park and a wild grey partridge manor on the arable land above the castle. High quality wild pheasant shooting is sometimes available on the partridge ground when stocks allow and is a unique experience.
Hospitality
Coffee, Lunch and afternoon tea are all taken in Arundel Castle for the park days. For a wild pheasant day at North Stoke/Peppering, Coffee and Lunch are taken in one of our lunch huts.
Topography
Very steep and undulating topography with stunning backdrops and views.
Conservation Efforts
The Peppering partridge project won the Purdey gold award in 2010 and has shown remarkable increases in red listed bird, insect and plant species due to the management carried out for the wild grey partridges. Woodland management has increased rare butterflies such as Duke of Burgundy and Pearl Bordered Fritillary. Recently a five year Eurasian Curlew reintroduction project has started on the estate.
About the hosts
The estate is owned by the Duke of Norfolk and days are hosted by our Estate Manager.
