Set in a secluded part of the West Berkshire Downs, our family run shoot brings you a day of mixed bird types from forests to hills and open fields. Very much a social day you will be joining a friendly group of people for a day out.
Typically bag sizes are 40-60 birds.
Hospitality
Our shoot provides coffees on arrival, a non formal standing lunch in one of our barns, alongside home made sloe gin and fudge, closed off with some sweet treats at the end of the day.
Birds
Mixed birds, some high flying off hills, some from hedgerows, a real mix of types across the day
Topography
In the North Wessex downs we have a real mixture of hills, woodlands and open fields giving you every type of bird over the day
About the hosts
The shoot is hosted by my father, a farmer and his wife and it is certainly a very relaxed day and focused on having good fun and being social!
Travel information
About one hour to 1.5 hours from London by car or nearby Goring and Streatley train station which is a 15 min taxi away
