Glenferness Estate has some very well appointed accommodation on site. Take your choice of 5 different properties ranging from 1890’s Norwegian-style chalets to traditional stone-built cottages which have all been renovated to a high and modern standard. All but one, are a stone-throw from the river and squash court. The shoot day generally caters for most tastes, a short welcome, Elevenses in the field, Lunch in the “Garage”, light refreshments throughout the day are available and a toast to respect the game at the end of the day.

Shooting on Glenferness Estate is a very special event indeed; we have a variety of drives to suit different levels of ability and can adapt the day to suit your needs and test even the finest of high bird shots.

The topography of the Estate offers unique challenges with its steep banks studded with mature Scots pine and other ancient native trees which lift the birds up and over you and the River Findhorn. This is quality shooting with much variety and a nice homely feel. A fabulous lunch is provided in the “Garage” at Glenferness House and we go out of our way to ensure you enjoy what we hope will be one of your most memorable days shooting.

Here on Glenferness we are passionate about preserving the beauty of the estate; using modern conservation methods, professionally managing deer population, managing existing woodland, clearing up wind blown and damaged trees to feed our Biomass heating system and going forward with new planting schemes to provide for the future of the estate whilst reducing our carbon footprint. As you walk the grounds of Glenferness it will open your eyes to the centuries of skilled land management. From the beautifully designed walled garden to the professionally managed woodland. It is clear those that live and work on the estate share a passion and love for the outdoors.

Robertson Sporting has been involved in shooting for many years now and are accustomed to what makes a great occasion, from the first meet to the final good bye our guests always feel welcome and wanting to return.

We are 30 minutes from Inverness Airport, 25 minutes from Nairn and 40 minutes from Aviemore. Transfers can be arranged.
