OJESPAIN Castillo De Vinuelas

Hospitality is an important part of the Viñuelas experience. Guns can look forward to traditional field elevenses served during the morning, followed by a relaxed post-shoot lunch in the unique surroundings of Castillo de Viñuelas.

Guns can expect a varied programme of drives, with fast, sporting partridges shown across different ground, ensuring that every drive feels different.

The shoot is set within a classic Castilian-Mediterranean landscape, combining holm oak and cork oak woodland, ash groves, scrub, farmland, open dehesa and natural ravines. This varied topography gives Viñuelas real character, allowing for a diverse programme of drives, each with its own feel and presentation.

At Viñuelas, conservation begins with responsible land and game management. The estate combines woodland, scrub, farmland, dehesa and natural ravines, creating an important habitat for game and other wildlife. Our shoot is run under a sustainable and ethical approach: birds are properly cared for throughout the season, and we do not allow any form of day-of manipulation, cages, boxes or direct releasing.

The day is hosted by Javier López de Carrizosa Mora-Figueroa and the Viñuelas shoot team, who create a warm, personal and well-organised atmosphere. The tone is relaxed rather than overly formal, while still maintaining the standards, rhythm and attention to detail expected from a traditional Spanish driven partridge day

Castillo de Viñuelas is one of the most accessible shoots in Spain, set just outside Madrid and around 25–35 minutes by car from Madrid-Barajas Airport, making it ideal for visiting Guns looking for a seamless sporting trip with minimal transfer time.
