Stowlangtoft Estate has a proud record of participation in and support of country pursuits, and includes royalty in the distinguished list of shooting guests hosted.
The Stowlangtoft Estate Shoot is owned by Roger and John Catchpole. Together with our highly respected keeper, Michael Middleditch, we are well placed to offer quality sport and excellent hospitality. The Catchpole family runs each day personally, with luncheon taken in our recently refurbished Shooting Lodge. Our professional caterers provide excellent meals for each team of guns and all refreshments and transport are included in the cost of your day.
Our estate covers c.2,000 acres of traditional arable and parkland, including 175 acres of picturesque mature woodland. The terrain is varied, allowing for both traditional partridge shooting and challenging pheasant drives. We offer for sale, a limited number of partridge and mixed partridge and pheasant days each season. Most days are taken by our syndicate, which meets fortnightly on a Friday. Our syndicate is renowned for being inclusive and welcoming to new members. Outside of our syndicate, Stowlangtoft Estate offers a small number of let days to full teams of guns.
We pride ourselves on offering high-class sport with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In addition, our bag size varies from 125 to 200 birds, depending on individual requirements and the time of year. Importantly, our bags are often well in excess of the stated target, and we charge no VAT or overage. We choose drives on the day of the shoot to suit the prevailing weather conditions. Each season our shoot evolves, with existing drives altered and new drives created, to take advantage of changes in the landscape and to improve the sport we offer.
Finally, Stowlangtoft Estate takes its role within country sports and the local community very seriously; we are known for being environmentally and socially responsible. Furthermore, we are committed to best sporting practice. This commitment enables Stowlangtoft Estate to look forward to a sustainable future in the diverse and beautiful Suffolk landscape.
The Stowlangtoft Estate Shoot is a GWCT Member and BASC Trade Member.
Hospitality
All hospitality and transport are provided. Including a three course meal held in our Shooting Lodge at the end of the day.
Topography
Stowlangtoft Estate is a traditional East Anglian lowland partridge manor, with birds driven over mature hedgerows and shelter belts. Later in the season days also include woodland drives around the centre of the estate.

Having been able to take the last two dates in January 2018, I have enjoyed the shooting immensely, the shoot is very local to me and although John and Roger are great hosts I must say a big thank you to Lee, who was able to link up the various drives and breaks seamlessly. I have already booked some days for the 2018/19 season and look forward to meeting both old and new members. If you are looking for a traditional, well run shoot that is both safe and enjoyable then book a day...

We have been visiting Stowlangtoft now for the past 4 seasons or so (from Yorkshire) and without any hesitation i can say that from the moment you arrive to when you leave this is one of the most enjoyable days out in my shooting calendar. It is testimony to the professionalism of the whole team at Stowlangtoft that means we return when we are blessed with so much good shooting on our own door step.
