Stour valley

A warm welcome and hopefully some terrific sport. And a promise as a guid if u have one bad day with me I’ll try my best to get u on a great flight on a future day! The perils of wild duck, the only guarantee I can give you is my word I’ll try and put you on the birds.

The pond is a purposefully dug flight pond going back over 50 years with the water no more then 2ft deep at its deepest point. Allowing duck to dive for there food and be ducks rather then swimming the surface of a 10ft deep pond. It’s well situated in a river valley with rolling hills each side. Hides are built and guns situated depending on the direction of the wind that afternoon or evening. It’s was well thought out and continues to attract duck and all wading birds and wildlife for the past 50 year and more.

Vermin control and feeding all year round witch benefits a verity of wildlife. No Lead shot allowed, any wildfowl are only shot wen the numbers are sufficiently monitored pria to any shooting taking place.

I’m 48 years of age been shooting since I was 8. I was a successful pigeon shooting guid operating with my father under the name pro pigeon, we mainly catered for French and danish guests some American and English in the Suffolk and Essex areas. Also hosting semi driven and rough shooting with the odd big driven partridge and pheasant days depending on demand. Even sold a days driven rat and rabbit shooting over ferrets witch was rather hairy and wouldn’t be repeated lol!
