The shoot in mid Suffolk is convenient for the M11, A14 and A12 routes in East Anglia, and is close to historic Bury St Edmunds. There are around 25 cover crop drives with high hedges showing top quality partridge and pheasants in early to mid season and by late December the 200+ acres of woodland come into play for pheasants and the possibility of woodcock. The shooting party are transported in our modern gun trailer which is used as the focal point for the field picnic lunch. We aim for the whole shoot day to be an enjoyable, safe and satisfying experience for all concerned.
Hospitality
The hospitality as described above is included in the price per bird and we will try to cater for individual guns or teams needs and are pleased to discuss these requirements at the time of booking.
Topography
The shooting estate is composed of undulating topography of small to medium sized fields, separated by high hedges, covering around 2000 acres plus about 230 acres of mainly deciduous woodland with some mature oak trees
About the hosts
The days are normally hosted by Peter or Charlie Rushbrook, who have extensive experience of managing all sizes and types of shoot days. We aim for a relaxed and convivial atmosphere where the hosts enjoy themselves along with, of course, the guns.
