Ashmoor shoot, Campsea Ashe

The Ashmoor Farm Club Shoot at Campsea Ashe Suffolk continues year after year to deliver quality birds ranging from pheasant, partridge to duck with a bag of around a 100 birds.The shoot is now in its 30th season and still has many of the original guns and beaters

The shoot covers arable, marsh and a variety of woods together with three excellent ponds surrounds by trees delivering quality ducks.  There are a variety of mixed bird drives that allows the day to be varied depending on weather conditions and then as the season progresses woodcock and snipe are often seen on many of the drives. 

The day begins at 0830 with an informal get together between beaters, guns and dogs.  After a safety briefing the team board the game cart with a number of 4x4 cars following and the first drives begin.  After the first 3 drives we normally stop for a drink and catch up followed by 2 more drives and then back for a buffet lunch which is laid on by my wife serving a variety of homemade produce such as mini game pies.

The shoot prides its self as a relaxed shoot with the emphasis on enjoying a days shooting and being out in beautiful countryside.

Guns must be experienced & observe recognised etiquette, sportsmanship and above all safety. Membership of at least one of CPSA, BASC, GWCT . Must possess Shotgun Certificate/Overseas Visitors Certificate.
