Whitmore shoot has been a private shoot for over 100 years, it is held on the prestigious Whitmore Estate. One of the oldest private estates in Great Britain which has remained in the same family for over 1000 years. It is said that the parkland was designed by Capability Brown, famous for his work at Blenheim palace and Trentham Gardens to name but a few.
Set in the rolling hills of rural Staffordshire, both pheasant and partridge are presented from the many covers to test even the most confident of shots. Each drive has been carefully thought out and refined over the years to not only deliver sport across the line of guns but also has beautiful scenery as a back drop.
The day starts with a full english breakfast, followed by a drinks reception in the hall itself. Guns then load up into our custom built gun bus and are transported between drives.
Elevens / lunch are held within another part of this historic estate and the day culminates with an evening meal in our dedicated shoot room. Here you will see shoot photographs that adorn the walls dating back as far as 1913.
We truly believe that both the sport and days hosting provided are second to none.
Whitmore Shoot still remains home to a private shoot and this is only the 2nd year that the doors have opened to a limited number of let days.
Days can be tailored to the experience, budget and requirements of individual teams. Please call our head keeper if you wish to discuss other dates / availability.
