Consall Valley Shoot is a family owned and run sporting estate nestled in the rolling hills of North Staffordshire. The estate is a mixed partridge and pheasant shoot with undulating hills and mixed woodlands covering over 2,000 acres with 130 acres of cover crops positioned to give visiting guns an amazing days shooting to remember.
Hospitality
Ashcombe Park Estate All visiting guns and teams have the privilege to experience this breathtaking shoot venue. The Hall has been recently restored to its former glory, having 10 luxury bedrooms, all ensuite, and 4 staff / drivers rooms on site. Our resident chef will cater for your every requirement to make a memorable experience. We're happy to arrange any loaders/instructors as required to assist on your days shooting.
Topography
The shoot lies within the picturesque Churnet Valley where visiting guns can witness the local steam train meandering its way along the riverside as it passes through the valley. There are 16 drives on the estate enabling us to present birds to all abilities and tailor the day to suit the gun's preferences.
About the hosts
Your hosts are the Pointon family, originally from a farming background they have a passion for the countryside and sporting traditions. This is a family run shoot with members of the family looking after guests from their arrival at Consall Valley ensuring a warm welcome, great shooting, and a fabulous service at all levels.

I have been extreamly lucky to have shot here on several occations, its to put it blunlty Premier League! The family as a whole could not do a better job if they tried, from the hospitality right through to the drives and the brids. You walk in with a smile and you leave with a lot bigger one!

I have had the pleasure of shooting Consall Valley on many occasions, it is without question the highest quality facility I've seen. I & all my guests have always felt welcomed by the family from the moment we arrived. The gun bus is knockout and helps the day along nicely, regardless if its just participants and/or partners alike. The food and service are always excellent. Staying over at Ashcombe is a real treat but regardless, everyone, every time will leave with memories of simply a WOW day. Prepare to book again!

I have shot at Consall Valley for approx. 15 years as either a guest or captain of a team of paying quests. We have always had a thoroughly enjoyable days shooting from the moment we arrived . The staff and shoot owner are very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. From the moment you enter the most amazing gun bus to the end of the days shooting everything is run so professionally, no rushing about, seamless picking up and always kept up to date with what is going on. The catering is first class throughout the day. If you are fortunate enough to stay at either the Lodge or Ashcombe Hall overnight it is something you will never forget. It is so good. Although not the highest birds they are presented to be very challenging. We have never left Consall without a smile on our faces as the day is so special which is why I have no hesitation in recommending this shoot.
