Wortley Shoot is located near Sheffield, set within the stunning Wharncliffe Estate. The shoot benefits from a diverse and picturesque landscape of game crops, woodland and moorland, all of which combine to produce exceptional sporting birds for shooting enthusiasts of all abilities.
We offer a mixed-bird shoot, predominantly pheasant, along with early-season partridge days. As a family-run business with over 40 years of experience, we pride ourselves on delivering not only first-class sport but also genuine, traditional Yorkshire hospitality.

Hospitality
A day at Wortley Shoot is about far more than just the sport, it’s about the full Yorkshire experience.
Start the morning with a hearty Full English breakfast, complete with Victoria’s famous fried bread. Elevenses are served in style with Champagne and the obligatory pork pie to keep everyone fuelled for the drives ahead.
The day finishes back at the lodge for “The Count”, followed by a two-course meal and drinks, the perfect way to round off a memorable day in the field.
Topography
Set against a backdrop of truly picturesque and varied topography, the shoot spans from the wild and dramatic Wharncliffe Crags through vast stretches of mature woodland and into rolling open countryside. This diverse landscape not only provides breath taking scenery but also creates natural, testing sport across a range of superb drives.

Family run by the Tue family Alex & Victoria, with over 40 years of experience alongside their highly respected Head Game Keeper Neil Swinn

Despite the big towns near to it, this is lovely country and Alex and Victoria Tue are excellent hosts. We saw a good bit of the estate from our ATVs and there was little effort getting to the pegs. The beating team presented the birds extremely well and there were plenty of them. This was an all round successful day at a very reasonable price. We will be back if we can. Highly recommended!

Had a fantastic day here! Virtually no wind all day, huge effort from keeper/beating team to present some top drawer birds. Variety of game on each drive throughout the day. Will certainly be returning!

Did this shoot nov 2023, have been to another that didn’t compare for the same price. Grounds and drives are fantastic, staff and transport is top notch.
