Tunley Estate is situated in Somerset a few miles west of the georgian city of Bath.
The Estate itself is 600 acres in size and has been a established driven shoot for 30+ years for a private syndicate up until a couple of years ago when we started to host sold days as well. The Estate has a valley running the length of it which lends itself perfectly for a game shoot showing a good variety of birds for novice to experienced guns.
Birds are shown from a mixture of strategically placed game crops and woodland either side of the valley.
We can cater for 150 bird days to 250 bird days.
Full hospitality is included on the day starting with a full breakfast before moving off to the shoot where we will stop for Elevenses after two drives followed by another two or three drives before heading to the local country pub for a roast dinner to finish the day.
We run our days at Tunley with a welcoming, relaxed and friendly atmosphere with excellent hospitality through out with some testing shooting to go with it.

Great day from start to finish. Great hospitality from Martin and the team. The breakfast and after shoot meal from the local pub is spot on. Great day shooting, nice and relaxed. Most importantly the birds fly well.

I have shot at Tunley estate many times over the last 6 years. The quality of the driven days are fantastic from the start of the day right up until the end. You will see plenty of birds on each drive and it doesn’t matter what month your shooting September or January the quantity and quality is always there in abundance. The hospitality is wonderful throughout the day and you are always made to feel welcome, whether your a single gun joining a team or shooting with friends. I highly recommend.

I have been taking a team to shoot at Tunley at least twice a season for a number of years now and on not one occasion has it been a disappointment. At the start of the day you are greeted by Martyn and his team with tea, coffee and a breakfast roll before heading to your pegs and from there the day just gets better. All The drives at Tunley are fortunate enough to show an array of birds suitable for almost any shot, from the new to game shooting gun, to the seasoned high bird shot. One of my particular favourites is Rattlesprings drive, where you start with fantastically high duck and the shortly after the duck are up the partridge start whipping over the valley shortly followed by the climbing pheasants. During the drives Martyn’s team of picker up’s are very responsible and respectful to anyone wishing to work a dog from the peg (as I do) and will always make sure there is game there for you to pick with your dog. The catering before during and after the day is just utterly sublime , not over the top, just perfect for a day in the field. If you are looking for good sporting birds, great hospitality, value for money, and a good enjoyable days shooting where you can laugh with friends and be in the fantastic company of the estate team, then look no further, Tunley is the place to go. If game shooing isn’t your thing, then the simulated days they put on are just as fantastic!!
